Title: Good lord..even more evidence
Post by: Townhallsavoy on August 12, 2009, 11:13:03 PM
Look, I try not to get into politics.  I think a lot of it is bullshit that amounts to nothing.  This country can run itself, and all I need the government to do is protect its citizens.

Without too many words, here is the video link:

This whole health care thing just pisses me off.

Rick Sanchez is not long for CNN...I'm not as surprised at the report of the back-room deal as I am the media source on which it was reported.

Un-fucking-believable.

All of these fucking politicians are as corrupt as the day is long.

I'd say that I agree with you, townhallsavoy, with the exception that when they are not making bullshit political moves they're trying to extract more of our hard-earned money for boondoggle legislation that encroaches on our liberty.

Thanks for posting that report.  Everybody should watch it.

Me too.  Tell me, why in the hell is the government so preoccupied with healthcare?  WHY?

Is it in the constitution that the government should tax people with money so that the people without money can have healthcare?

I get it.  Healthcare is way too expensive for the below-average Joe to afford along with pursuing a satisfying life.  But when has the government ever successfully fixed an issue by taxing citizens who DON'T have any issues related to the subject?  Name one government in history that has used taxation in order to achieve prosperity.  You can't.

However, what this equates to is a sort of opiate for the masses technique that gets votes.  Votes lead to power.  Power leads to back door deals with crooked lobbyists, which entails gobs of money.

Bingo.  It's all about POWER.

BTW, I'm experiencing firsthand just how fucked up Medicare is.  I think that FedGov needs to fix that before they impose some fucking new universal healthcare plan on America...but, then again, that's not what this preoccupation all about.

Yes, thanks for posting townhallsavoy.

Tarheel:  I was surprised that CNN reported this.  Rick Sanchez will sitting with us at re-eudcation camp.

In all seriousness this shit is getting ridiculous.  We all need to our best to make sure that no incumbent gets reelected.  I used to make fun of others for it, not to long ago, but it's time for a cleansing on capital hill.

Me too.

And I wouldn't be surprised to find myself reported to the White House information line after the things I've posted on Twitter recently...wait...I think I hear something at the back door...

The problem is that most of these idiots are elected by idiots in areas of the country that refuse to open their mouths for the laxative they so desperately need.

American politics is Hatfields and McCoys.  It's the Alabama-Auburn rivalry.  No one wants to admit they're wrong or weak.
