Homeland Security chief says U.S. will not give refuge to those fleeing Cuba and Haiti by boat

People fleeing Cuba and Haiti by boat will not be allowed to enter the U.S., even if they demonstrate fear of being persecuted or tortured in their home countries, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas warned (https://www.c-span.org/video/?513386-1/homeland-security-secretary-mayorkas-news-conference&live) on Tuesday.
"Allow me to be clear: if you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States," Mayorkas said, highlighting the dangers of traversing the Caribbean Sea and the Florida Straits by boat.
Mayorkas, a Cuban immigrant who fled the island with his family in 1960, issued his stern warning in the wake of seismic political events that have rocked Cuba and Haiti in recent days.

Cubans kept Florida Red. They know the dangers of communism. More Cubans coming in means Florida probably stays red. It’s all political to these assholes. Mexicans - while good people and hard workers - are viewed as pawns to turn Texas blue in the eyes of the dems. I actually firmly believe we need Mexicans here. They do a lot of shit many won’t do. It’s the reality of our economy now in 2021 - hospitality, agriculture, construction. But they are absolutely being used and looked at as warm bodies at the voting booth. When they wake up one day and realize this in mass, the dems’ tune on them coming here will change. Trump pulled high levels of the Hispanic vote in 2020 and many of them are waking up, but as long as Mexicans sway even slightly to blue - they will be looked at as a needed, warm body filling out a ballot.

I've said all along, we should have trained all women to be soldiers. They have the most to lose and would have fought to the end!
