Title: Tradition over
Post by: Kaos on August 10, 2017, 11:33:18 PM
I've been buying the official sideline polo from Under Armour every year.  At first it was $60 something.  Then $70, $75, $79.

This year the damn thing is $83.99.

Fuck that.  That's ridiculous.  I'll wear one of the ten I've collected over the years, or one of the four or five others that weren't official sideline ones.

I didn't like last year's at all anyway.  I only wore it twice.  It was ugly.

This year's is better.  But not $83.99 better.

If you're going to wear an old one, may I suggest the 2010 version?  Good hoodoo and all that.

Make sure it's one with the fitted sleeves, so you can show off Jack and Sledge.

I tried that.

In 2010 I had a pair of shoes I only wore on game days.  I had the UA sideline polo I wore only on game days.  I had the right hat.  Only on game days.

When I got back from AZ, I put all that up.  I called Under Armour and ordered three more pair of the exact same shoe.  I've still got two unworn pair in boxes in my closet.

Loved those shoes.

I kept the hat, the shoes and the shirt on the shelf until the next fall.  Wore them to the Utah State game.  Through the Clemson game.  Even though I had the new shirt for that year I didn't wear it.  After the Clemson loss -- and the hate for Dabo that bloomed that day -- I switched to the new shirt.

I don't think I've had the 2010 shirt out since then.

I did have a pair of AU shoes two years ago, but I gave up on them mattering after the loss to Arky.

I bought the 2016 sideline shirt, wore it once during the season but didn't like it at all.  So I went rogue.  Wore whatever.  Some game days I didn't wear AU at all.  Some I did.

Bullshit, I have a 2004 Anders orange Auburn hat with zero losses on it.  It has been retired.  It was all hat.

Do you have cows?  BTW, How come you big-leaguing me in the golf outing thread?  You know, being from Ark me and John Daly are almost like brothers, I could prolly score you some of those keen golf pants.
