Title: Vegas Higher on Tigers Than Fans

Received a betting slip from our resident Vegas degenerate and was surprised to find that this book has us at 30-1 to win it all.

I believe we can win right away this year.

That's like comparing apples to, like, onions.

Meh, they are both round-ish.

Apples to bananas is a comparison of stark differences. As in Alabama's offense is as boring as apples (and just as poisoned at the core as Sleeping Beauty or whatever) but Auburn's offense can be straight up bananas (as in tasty, nutritious or smush suckage).

As long as we stay ranked somewhere 1-30 like this, I won't complain. The sec west is tough.

The season rests on JF3's shoulders, the defense will be much improved especially if Lawson stays healthy.

I hope so, seems like we have been saying that for the last 10 years.

If we lose to Clemson, it had better be because the baddest man on the college planet, Deshaun Watson, was too much for us. I can live with that after what I saw last year.  Not just in the MNC game but all season long.  Mighta', coulda', shoulda', woulda' won the Heisman.  But other than that position, in that game, there's no excuses anymore for us not matching up with anybody in the country.

Just thinking of some guys off the top of my balding dome, that should either start or be in the rotation, a quick plug into 247 Spurts shows these guys as either 4* or 5* recruits:

Defense

Montavelosity Adams
Carl Lawson
Byron Cowart
Marlon Davidson
Tre Williams
Darrell Williams
Jeffrey Holland
Tray Matthews
Rudi Ford
Jamel Dean
Carlton Davis
Derrick Brown (Should be if the hype is correct)
Antwuan Jackson (Could be)

Offense

Sean White
Jeremy Johnson (Poster child for Underdevelopment)
Jovon Robinson
Jason Smith
Kyle Davis
Nate Craig Myers
Alex Kozan
Austin Golson
Braden Smith
Darius James

I know there's plenty more on the roster and others coming in with this recruiting class.  Bottom line is when you're athletes are equal to everyone you play against, it's all up to coaching to make the difference.  I want Malzahn to succeed.."for a long, long time."  But no excuses anymore.
