There is a lot of smoke on this one. The reason isn't confirmed but it's being "widely"reported that Foster left this afternoon around 2 and hasn't been seen since. Reports are that he's in Loosa. If he is, this sux. Can't say that if the alleged altercation did happen that I am surprised. I think Foster wants to rule the roost and likes the light to be shining on him. It may have been in the works the whole time. A better approach would be to take the problem to the coaches. Who knows. Guess we'll find out more tomorrow.

The recruiting saga of linebacker Reuben Foster took another dramatic turn on Saturday, according to reports from multiple recruiting websites. Foster, who is rated as the nation's top inside linebacker recruit in the 247Composite index, was in Auburn this weekend taking his official visit but reportedly left the visit early and headed to Tuscaloosa.
Rumors of Foster's surprise departure from Auburn appeared to have been confirmed by Alabama wide receiver Christion Jones, who tweeted on Saturday "Chillin with my boy Alvin and Reuben tonight" before deleting the message from his account. Alvin likely refers to four-star athlete and Alabama target Alvin Kamara.
The tweet was followed shortly after by reports from multiple recruiting outlets confirming Foster's presence in Tuscaloosa.
@trevorhewettbol posted on the BOL Round Table that #BOL is hearing that both Reuben Foster and Alvin Kamara are on campus right now.

Nevermind the fact that Foster is announcing on Monday where he's going or the fact that he and his family met with the Auburn coaching staff on Saturday afternoon, at around 2 O'clock, in a good mood (per JGT), then watched the film that Coach Malzahn put together for the visitors, before he left to go to uat with friend Kamara. Also, he's been on Auburn's campus more times, this year, than anyone on this board has. Spend a day and a half at Auburn and a day and a half at uat. Then decide on Monday.

He was suspended for the first game of the season for drunken disorderly conduct. He also was the anchor for two of the worst offenses in Auburn's history which many people blame on poorly disciplined players, which Dismukes seems to be the embodyment of.
Now, it's alleged that he may have called a high student the N word and possibly ruined our chances with the best prospect for our highest need position.
If that's true, fuck him and I hope he loses his scholarship. Our best game offensively last season was the Clemson game, which he didn't play in.

Dismukes hasn't, and probably never will amount to shit. Never lived up to the hype. Foster seems to be a headcase. Maybe he's just playing the recruiting game and having fun. If so, he is creating a bad reputation while doing it. Honestly, I don't really want him at Alabama. I don't think that he has the right mentality to play at many major programs, IMO.

If this were or is the first time of having this type of altercation, I'm more understanding. This isn't the first time I've heard of such behavior out of Dismukes. I don't know if it's true but I've heard similar info as you. If it's there, CGM has to address it. I won't call the guy a racist just because he allegedly used the N word. I think that's a part of the story that's overblown. A word is a word and a lot of these kids use that one affectionately toward ea. other. You just can't do it if you're white. Then, you are a racist?

I'm thinking CGM has a Q&A with a few present to guage the atmosphere.
Had there not been a previous incident with our starting Center this would likely go away but it's not.
It's up to the coaches to determine if their futures are worth the risk of allowing certain individuals to follow a pattern as this seems to indicate.
Hard to imagine a seasoned starter hurling such a slur unless it is "acceptable" among teamates OR mixed company was involved in combination with adult beverages.
And somehow I just have some suspicions that a female(s) was involved FWIW.

At least we're in his last 4. But I think momma likes Dabo. And we have him saying he can see himself playing at Thuga. He did say that he likes AU's players and coaches. He's our longer shot, imo. I think we prob get Foster because of mom but I won't be nearly as excite about having him as I was a few months ago. I gots Foster overload.

Yeah I fancy McKinzy and at least a couple of others having the edge on a NQ Foster (should he commit) until he proves himself. Same for the incoming DLinemen. Just hoping we go hard at solidifying the front seven next year as well.

If Foster does have the grades and comes to AU, does he start? I thought it was a given but I think you are right that Cass prob has the edge in the middle. Foster would still prob see a lot of pt though.

Don't know any more than anyone here it's just that dominating on the hs level ain't the same when you have to fend off the much more talented athletes on the opposite side of the ball each week.Would be great if he could be our C. J. Moseley but we all know that's a rarity.

Heard that they had words and that was it. No N words were dropped and it was all blown out of proportion. They went on about their night and Ruben told Hoke he had a good time and the coaches still think we ink him on Wed.

He definitely has a lot of potential and the experts have him up there for a reason. He was not nearly as dominating in the one game that I saw him play. Looked like a good HS player and not much more. It won't surprise me either way he goes. I'm thinking he prolly announces Bama and signs AU.

Truth be told, I have been suffering from several years of self imposed sanctions. This is the first year in a while that all available slot openings will be filled.

Someone tell me what's what on all this. I thought the SEC had adopted this new rule of a hard maximum number of croots at, what was it...28? IE, Letters of Intent max of 28. And then, of course, you can only actually "sign" (that is enroll in the fall) 25 (max of 85 on Scholarship) per NCAA ruls. Is my understanding of the current rules correct?
Yet UGA currently has 30, and aTm has 32. I know these are verbals, and the SEC rule only applies to LOI's on signing day and the NCAA rule to number enrolling on scholarship, but seems to me that some of the kids we're after are considering classes that are full, or over full. LSU is at 27, UF 25, and bammer at 22. We only have 20, and are currently ranked 11th (Rivals...and I'm not sure how they factor in the JUCOs to that ranking).
Seems to me like NSD sets up pretty nice for us to finish very strong, and it's not a bad class right now, except needing LBs in a big way.

Someone can correct this if wrong, but you can never "enroll" more than 25 in the fall regardless. The backcounting I think applies to the SEC rule of 28. Again, there's so many rules, and a seperate set for bammer, so it's hard to keep up.
JUCOs that enroll early, can be counted back to last year's class if there are slots available in the 25 limit.

Yes, I added to my post by edit. Early enrollee, ie JUCO's can be part of last year's class if there is room, but you can only enroll 25 in the fall as I understand it.

When Foster decommitted from us, I defended the guy. I understand that so many of these high profile kids are committing to a school based on far different reasons than you or I would choose one. Could be the particular coach that's showing them around and being buddy buddy with em'. Could be knowing several of his homeboyz are already there. Could be the $$$. And Foster openly professed his man-love for Coach Nem-Nurr so I got why he changed his mind when things at AU changed. Nothing to indicate he's a bad guy, just unsure what he wants to do.
But now...after all this...after leaving in mid visit and heading up to your arch-rival...after 18 flip-flops....fuck him. This type of shit is the reason I'm just getting more fed up with the whole recruiting deal each year. Pre-Madonnas who have us hanging on their every word. It was suppose to be a secret visit to uat, but Christon Jones made the tweet that he was hanging with Reuben and Kamara (he deleted it not long afterwards, but it was already picked up). Then the bammers made up the â€incident†with Dismukes & Foster. So, not only would they land the headcase Foster but they'd get to watch the Auburn family destroy one of the few returning OLinemen in the process.

With two pending possible commitments, DT Toby Johnson & ATH Cornelius Elder. I'm now thinking we'll land Toby but miss out on Elder...he'll probably go to Purdue to pursue Basketball & Football, he's been given the option at Auburn, as well, but I'm sure he's seen our basketball team play.
