I don't suck entirely, but I've come to realize so far on 09' that there isn't much of a pass defense. You just basically sit back and try to intercept everything thrown.
Unless of course you're Ohio State, then you're a fucking wall of no pass allowing greatness.... Fuck ESPN. There is no end to ESPN / Ohio State cock-sucking.
Example... Jumbo, Prowler and I have an online dynasty going on right now. I'm Georgia and started #1. I've scored no less than 56 pts, allowed no more than 10 through 4 games, and yet I DROPPED to #2 in favor of Ohio State which hasn't done shit. Makes a lot of sense to me.
Again...... Fuck ESPN. :silence:

The thing I like about the Xbox controls, which I'm not sure is on the PS3, is that you can have a juke stick instead of having to press the individual buttons.

Will do. I went to check it out last night, and the system had to install an update that took a while, so I let it run and watched TV instead. I will check it out tonight though.

EA Sports has pumped up the “wide-open gameplay” of NCAA Football 09 throughout the game’s promotion and with good reason. With bigger holes, more cutback lanes and speedy scatbacks galore, NCAA Football 09 frequently feels like NCAA Football 89 -- from the fun, poppy presentation, to the bang-bang gameplay, to the default three-minute quarters to the game’s throwback, arcade-like feel. While this might turn off some gamers who enjoy the thousand-button realism of more recent EA Sports offerings, it will thrill the NES generation whose sports gaming passions were weaned on action-driven titles like Tecmo Bowl and Ice Hockey.
I think I might actually enjoy this more, being that I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer by any means. I mean, I do own a Wii instead of an X-box 360, so that should tell you about my gaming habits. I think the novelty of the Wii controls in a college football game is really about all I need, but I could see how more hardcore gamers would disagree.
I'm a bit skeptical now, but I'll probably end up getting it anyway.

Oh, also, Jordan-Hare doesn't look right. the field looks right, but the stadium's all wrong, unlike I know the 360 version of 08.

So I got it. And played it. Here are observations:
The custom stadium music is cool. I now get War Eagle by the Auburn band whenever I score.
Like Rock Band's ridiculous step-up in difficulty from Medium to Hard, this game ramps up the difficulty pretty significantly when you change levels. Freshman I scored every time I had the ball first time out. Went up to Varsity and got intercepted three times, had one first down. Could be that I just sucked, but still...
Why the hell does Brad Nessler say "Fayetteville" in the fourth quarter when you're playing in Auburn? Stupid cocksucker.
Graphics are both good and bad but given the expectations I'm pretty disappointed. The detail is better, but the movements are herky-jerky. Doesn't look like the players have a lot of speed, many times it seems they are running an inch or two above the field. There's no fluidity of motion during plays. The movements were captured better in NCAA 06 for PS2.
The Mini-games are okay, but get old.
No pennants? Hmmm. No historical teams? Hmmm. That sort of sucks. Don't know if you can unlock that kind of stuff or not.
Will play more later and have other observations.
I also just sent three friend requests. Maybe you can teach me something about this game.

I will tonight maybe. I got kicked off the machine today because the wife and kids got tired of me playing it.
I did play somebody from LSU online. Wasn't a kid because he was miked up and I heard the dude. First play from scrimmage he threw a pick that I returned for a score. Kicked off, his guy fumbled the return. Picked it up and scored. Kicked off again, he ran two plays and fumbled. Picked up the ball and returned it inside the 10. He cancelled out of the game. Puss.

I still haven't been able to get to yours. I keep getting a message that the servers are busy every time I try and get out there. I did; however, play a game against a 6 year old Korean girl I believe. She was up 35-0 on me at the half, and I quit on her.

So, I finally got a chance to play this on Saturday (low-def tv and ps2....old school style).
My verdict: I like the game, I hate the spread playbook. I'm partial to a power running game and the playbook is lacking those options for me.
Bonus: Kodi Burns is a madman with the speed option.

Of course. And, if I were to buy the game and play it constantly, I would adapt.
I only got two games in and I had very few of my "go to" plays. Luckily the Shotgun Normal formation was there for me: HB Corner, Speed Option, and Seam Attack had to be my bread and butter.

He was unstoppable and, if you're an option master like me, the fake pitch will make a linebacker break an ankle.

If I can make Cal's slow ass QB gain 10 -20 yards per option, it is very doable with Kodi Burns.
