Thought that I'd beat a dead horse again today...
The same land of WMD's and Yellow cake?
I'm really not surprised that this report didn't get more press coverage in the mainstream media this week. At least one less threat has been removed from Iraq and I really think that this event coupled with reports of the Iraqi Army taking over more and more of their own nation's security detail is the beginning of the end of our large scale military presence there anyway. Just my prediction for whatever that's worth.
I am surprised that McCain didn't say anything about this event.
AP Exclusive: US removes uranium from Iraq
By BRIAN MURPHY
ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER
The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program - a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium - reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.
The removal of 550 metric tons of "yellowcake" - the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment - was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam's nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.

How dare you bring something like facts into your post. Don't you know there has been nothing like that in the land of lolly pop trees and and chocolate rivers?

If you're going to quote a member of F.A.G. in the political forum, Sir, make sure and get it right...this is what the great thespian and brilliant political thinker Sean Penn said:
Last year I went to Iraq. Before Team America showed up, it was a happy place. They had flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles.

Now that Randall is on the scene, they will be finding all kinds of shit. Well, except for his tenth toe.

I did find what was suspected to be an IED the other day, but it turned out to be a rusted SunDrop can.

What does Hillary have to do with it?

Don't you get it? It was only 550 metric tons. It's not like the aluminum tubes that Saddam was trying to acquire could have been used to enrich yellow cake into weapon's grade material. (Of course, that's exactly how you do it... But, it seems that Joe Wilson is more credible than reality among America's silly-assed whiners.)
I say we take half of this material and secretly deposit it (dump it from a plane) across Paris, Moscow, Ottawa, Berlin, Beijing and Madrid. Just think of all the benefits if we can get enough in their water supplies. We can save the rest for various Obama rallies and other Leftist meet-and-greets. Although, Western Europe could really use a good cleansing.
