I would think the Lakers fans would be excited about this.

Nash has been my favorite point guard in the league for a long time.  Just fun to watch someone in total control who seems to know where everyone is on the court, every second.  It seems that every time he has the ball, he does something to make you go, "Damn".  Not sure how I like the Laker move though.  Not a fan at all.

Other than the Spiderman reboot and any new movie featuring Nick Cage, I can't think of anything I care less about than NBA basketball.

Yes, he had a fantastic game in the finals vs the Minneapolis Lakers.  Really took Mikan to school with his deadly set shot game and fantastic two handed bounce passes.  Laker's just had no answer for the 4 corners offense of the Syracuse Kings.  Final score was 18-10.

Steve Nash is a fave of mine. I rooted for the Mavs and the Suns....but fuck me, I can't root for the lakers.

It was a most ripping victory.

I am not sure if I have said this before, but me and my BIL follow the NBA pretty closely. We watch most games outside on the patio when he comes over to grill out on the green egg. Any who, this was a good pick up.

By the way, you know what's good with big green eggs, NBA and BIL's? Chicken wings. I am a legend when it comes to grilling chicken wings and my BIL loves them!

I haven't closely followed the NBA since shortly after Mutombo left the Sixers.  I'd venture to say about 8 or 9 years ago was the last time I actively watched it.

I've somewhat kept up with it over the years, but I haven't followed a particular team in awhile.  Steve Nash has obviously been one of the guys that has stood out to me as a casual observer of the sport.

The trade to the Lakers shouldn't surprise me, given the recent trend of teams trying to build title contenders around three or more star players, but I'm not much of a fan of Nash going to the Lakers.  I've never really hated the team, and I have respect for Kobe's abilities as an athlete, but I don't feel it will be a good fit for Nash.

My BIL agrees with me.  We were hanging out, having a few brews and homemade chicken wings, and Steve Nash came up as a topic of interest shortly after our discussion on eunuchs.

I'm not sure I get the trade.  Adding a 38yr old point guard is something you do when you are almost ready to break out on a title push, and if you watched OKC and Lakers last year or Mavs and Lakers the year before that then you know that LA needs to get younger, not older.

Incidentally, he was drafted in the same draft as Iverson, Starbury, and Bryant.  That was a long time ago.
