Title: SEC As Of 1/20/12
Post by: Snaggletiger on January 20, 2012, 01:19:22 PM
So far, it looks like the Kentucky Invitational.  Only 3 teams in the top 25 and MSU will probably drop close to 25 if not out after losing to Ole Miss.  To me, Vandy should be a solid top 25 team and not sure why they aren't with a 14-4 record and 4-0 in conference.  So a little over half way in, the SEC might get what....4 teams in the big dance?  Anyone you expect to catch fire?  For me, I would look at Arky or Bama.  It looks like UT is playing solid right now but they dug themselves too deep a hole.  Thoughts?

#2 Kentucky 4-0 -- 18-1
Vanderbilt 4-0 -- 14-4
#14 Florida 2-1  14-4
#15 Mississippi State 2-2  15-4
Arkansas 2-2  13-5
Alabama 2-2  13-5
Ole Miss 2-2  12-6
LSU 2-2  12-6
Auburn 1-3  11-7
Georgia 1-3  10-8
Tennessee 1-3  8-10
South Carolina 0-3  8-9

You know I don't follow teh b-balls that much.  I know UT took a hit after the whole Bruce Pearl debacle, but WTF happened to USCe aren't they like 2 years removed from an NIT win?

Yep.  I thought they made it twice to the NIT finals. But then, I don't follow the cock very much. I think Cuanzo Martin will be a good fit for UT.  Don't know what happebed to them early but I believe they beat teh Gaytors in their opener and that's a damn fine win.
