I could not let this week pass without making a comment or two on the little twerp Scott McClellan.
For those of you who don't know who this rat fink is; this little weasel was the former Bush Administration White House Press Secretary from July 2003 to June 2006. He was probably the worst qualified person for the position that he held; he always projected a real picture of confidence from his position with that "deer in the headlights" look when questioned by the likes of Helen Thomas and some of the other slimy bottom feeders that make up the White House Press corps. Admittedly that is an innovative approach but hardly effective; he was fired and replaced by Tony Snow. He released his memoir this week entitled "What Happened" and apart from the fact that he should be flogged for releasing a memoir at the tender age of 39 he ought to be horse whipped for biting the hand that fed him for almost two years (not counting his days in Texas with W) in releasing this supposedly tell-all book which is nothing more than an inconsequential bid to become the next David "Rodham" Gergen (to quote from Rush Limbaugh) for the leftist media.
I must confess that I have not read his book but I've heard enough about it to know that it is rubbish. I have no intention of wasting my time reading this politically nuanced junk. Former Senator and Presidential candidate Bob Dole has rightly referred to him as a "miserable creature" in a recent email that he released excoriating this rotten little bitch. Despite the smooches he's getting from the likes of Keith Olbermann the liberal press will toss him aside shortly so perhaps his day in the sun may be over soon.
At any rate, I found two words in his "memoir" most enlightening about his character; he writes about "my truth". That says a lot to me. When it comes to the concept of truth there is no grey area; this is not something that can be "nuanced" as the left likes to use that word. Truth can, of course, be filtered through biased perception but without getting any more garrulous on this subject one is left to wonder what the end result is; possibly a venture into the realm of speculation at best.
He said to Olbermann (or Meredith Vieira), when asked who he was supporting for president this year, that he could not decide who to support; that he hoped that President Bush could change things in Washington and that he could be a part of that change but Pres. Bush became a permanent campaigner in his governance. Apart from this answer applying more to Bill Clinton than to W and coupled with his exposition about "his truth", this answer suggests a man who is at odds with himself. This answer could not be farther from the truth in that if Pres. Bush did use this approach he would not have an approval rating in the 30 percentile range now. But I suppose that McClellan's "truth" departs from reality in this regard too.
I don't want to beat a horse which if not dead is in mortal danger of expiring but part of this answer also brings me back to a recent post that I made on this site regarding the idea of someone not being able to decide what party to support. Like it or not we have a two party system in this country with strong ideological disagreements and this little bitch is not going to change the tone of that system by defining "his truth". It is clear to me that he's nothing more than a political opportunist and should not have been part of the Bush White House staff at all...but like a few others he used his friendship with W to try to catapult himself into the waiting arms of a leftist media; stabbing President Bush in the back on the way.
I hope that he enjoys his moment in the sun; if he's lucky he won't be burnt too badly.

Well that fits; the bad apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Now I have to watch this piss-ant fuck up my Sunday morning news shows for two weeks when they should be talking about more interesting issues.

Bob Dole unloads on McClellan
Bob Dole yesterday sent a scalding e-mail to Scott McClellan, excoriating the former White House spokesman as a "miserable creature" who greedily betrayed his former patron for a fast buck.
In an extraordinary message obtained and authenticated by Politico, Dole uses his trademark biting wit to portray McClellan as a classic Washington opportunist.
"There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don’t have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues," Dole wrote in a message sent yesterday morning. "No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits and, spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique."

Phenomenal email but I had to fix the closing line for Senator Dole.
