Title: Have a tree killed in your name for only $20!
Post by: Ogre on April 11, 2008, 10:12:59 AM
This site is awesome:

Credit Carbon Killers (http://creditcarbonkillers.com)

Here's a quick summary:

Quote
Why We Do It

The reason we sell Carbon Debits is simple – we want to take away the pathetic excuse of Carbon Credits from those liberals who hide their shame filled lives behind money-bought lunacy. Carbon Credits are simply a way for the rich (Al Gore) to continue to hypocritically live lives that look nothing like what they try to enforce on everyone else in society. We want to take away those excuses.

Our goal is to completely wipe out every Carbon Credit ever bought by selling their nullifying opposite – the Carbon Debit. The guilt and shame that caused people to buy Carbon Credits in the first place will be placed back on them as we let them know that their actions caused us to nullify their credits. They are the cause of us killing trees; they need to face up to their guilt.

This message is important for one reason – Far Left Liberals are lunatics that operate solely on shame of themselves, their success, their country, and their wealth. It is time to expose their ideas and self-defeating idiocy – and selling Carbon Debits is the best way to do that.

Personally, I'm going to save up for the Premier Carbon Debit Vacation Package.

I've said this for many years now, trees are bad for the environment because they give hippies a reason to live.

Well truth be told, old growth trees are also less efficient than newer trees when it comes to “scrubbing” the air we breathe and processing carbon dioxide into oxygen.  Plus, they mask the sunlight that newer trees and more efficient vegetation require to thrive.  Most people don’t realize that one of the leading producers of carbon dioxide includes the rain forests themselves.  The rotting vegetation below the high canopies of these old growth trees produces more carbon dioxide than can be processed by the local ecosystem.  Of course, Liberals get all pissy when you point out those facts.

Yeah, I know.  Sorry about that...  It's just that this whole environmental movement really chaps my ass.  It's nothing but a collection of lies supported by junk science that influences weak-minded sheeple who are too damn lazy to learn the facts for themselves.  And then, they allow these fucking clowns in Congress to pass laws abolishing the use of leaded gas, R-12, incandescent light bulbs and who knows what next.  They want to impose better gas mileage while mandating stricter emission controls.  Of course, if the emission controls were to be removed, the vehicles would be 30-50% more efficient in the first place.  Then, there are these global movements that are designed to handicap the United States economy with ridiculously stringent environmental regulations while permitting the “developing” nations to ignore those same standards.  And all along, the recognized leaders of this “green” movement are the biggest violators and hypocrites of the very actions they claim to support.

Broad-based taxpayer financing would certainly be preferable," he said. "But we cannot wait for the Legislature to allocate funds any more than the U.S. should defer decisive action on climate change until China and India take action."
A ratepayer's advocacy group, The Utility Reform Network of San Francisco, says the $600 million will go on electric bills that also might increase 30 percent in coming years to fund state-mandated greenhouse-gas-reduction programs.

"By cramming all these well-meaning proposals into electric bills, we may be creating more problems than we're solving," said TURN Executive Director Mark Toney.

Right away they're thinking about how to fund this "organization" with mandatory taxes or mandatory rate hikes on energy bills.  And what is the primary purpose of this facility?  To figure out new ways to tax us under the guise of "helping the environment with greenhouse gas reduction programs".

Reminds me of what Reagan once said (which is especially appropriate today):

Quote
REPUBLICANS BELIEVE THAT EVERY DAY IS THE FOURTH OF JULY; DEMOCRATS BELIEVE THAT EVERY DAY IS APRIL 15TH.
