The question that a lot of people are asking...what can we do about it? What is the correct response? As long as it doesn't have anything to do with melting/burning down the entire University in West Vance, I think alot of Auburn Men and Women will stand behind it. I've heard of countless other Auburn fans that are sick and fucking tired of being pushed around, it all started coming to a head with the SPuat fed Cam Newton stories. I know that the Old Hands from the Barfield days and earlier are absolutely sick of this shit and they should be. If they aren't, that means they've probably given up hope that we'll fight back.

Haven't verified the comments yet, but if they can be confirmed as coming from her, this is a prime opportunity to do something meaningful. Her editor, her publisher and anyone else associated with that newspaper should be inundated with letters, phone calls and emails demanding that she be censured and censured in public.
This is when we need the network of unified Auburn fans so that we can also apply economic pressure to the advertisers in that newspaper. Yes, the state is probably 60% bama fans with 93% of those having never gone to the school. No business, however, can afford to lose 40% of its clients.

As an Auburn fan and the parent of a current Auburn student, I am sickened and disgusted by her cavalier attitude and utter lack of respect for our university and our traditions.
I find her behavior reprehensible and ask that she be publically reprimanded and/or censured for her comments. Not only do they reflect badly on her personally but they also cast your newspaper in an incredibly negative light.
This mindset is unacceptable and a primary reason someone like Harvey Updyke felt empowered to commit what amounts to an act of eco-terrorism.
I sincerely hope the Times Daily will distance itself from such inflammatory rhetoric and take appropriate steps to ensure its employees and representatives refrain from such in the future.

I use to live in the B'ham area and use to listen to you guys every morning on the way in to work and use to listen to you Tony on 99.5 everyday as well. Now that I don't live in that area anymore, I don't get to listen but every so often. Yes, one is personal opinion the other is representing her employer's. Now there are obviously egregious enough offenses that can get you fired from your job whether they happen at work or not, but I would doubt that ridiculing someone's college traditions would be one of them.

Reality is far removed from that. I fired a woman last year who worked for me because it came to my attention that she posted something racially inflammatory on Facebook. It was her opinion and expressed in relation to a situation regarding her daughter. But I can't allow my company to be attached to that and she put it out there in a public forum under her own name.
I opted not to hire another woman because she had pictures on her facebook page of her taking shots off another woman's stomach, licking another woman's face and leg and drinking from a bottle stuffed into her bra. In the interviews she was professional and poised and I would have loved to hire her. But I couldn't risk my clients or potential clients absently looking her up and running across that. No, I do not have her number and I'm not going to release her name, so you can just imagine. She was very good looking, though.
What people say and do in their personal lives can and should have potential impact on their professional lives.
Good lord, how we handle things internally (i.e. the Tuberville situation) is a far different thing from how we respond to attacks from the outside.
I don't want their respect. I don't care about their respect. That's not the goal. The goal is to let them know on no uncertain terms that we're not going to accept their bullshit any longer. Enough is enough. Fuck respect. Fear is better.

I told him that would probably result in their advertisrrs being contacted next. As I said, I got the feeling this needed to be a bigger headache for him to take action.
