Title: bammers are getting scared....
Post by: The Prowler on October 18, 2010, 04:20:40 AM
Quote
#If I was an opposing coach playing au, I'd take Cam out no matter how dirty .... BamaAUM 2010-10-17 20:33:34
I'd cripple the bastage.

#Why not? That's what the barn does to opposing team's best players. Of course .... TomKat 2010-10-17 20:35:04
they're only being "aggressive".
Sounds like Auburn isn't so irrelevent anymore, huh.

BTW bammers, nice Chop Block your lineman performed on Ole Miss' best DLineman, Jerrell Powe.
Bunch of cheating, dirty players...I guess the team does take on the persona of its HC.

And for all those quotes you can cherry pick out, I can find plenty like the following:

Quote
You guys need to take off your crimson glasses. He's earning all the hype he's getting right now.
------
They've proven more than we have, they've won every game they have played...I hate Auburn too but you are blind if you don't think they are a good team. What more would you like them to have done at this point?
------
You know Ace, your inclusion of the third category re. injuries is absolutely classless. That a significant % of so-called Alabama fans would select it gives me real pause for concern.
------
They've proved a lot more than we have. Not to mention they have an identity and looks to have good leadership as well. They should win out.
You are such a tool.

Dude, we already have separate rooms - his snoring will penetrate even silicone earplugs.

But even if we didn't, this week he will be getting no nookie until after the game on Saturday and even then only if Auburn wins and I feel sorry for him for having a retard as a coach.

I am DEVASTATED that we will not be at the game - I have tried to find a way to undo all the plans for the weekend, but with me now having to be in NOLA for work this week, I just cannot make it happen.  Then to find out the fucking kickoff is 2:30 when the damn wedding is at 3:00?  FML.  I will be relying heavily on the X Emergency Text Alert System...

The problem with some of the fans on both sides is they can't stand that the other side might actually be good, and they can't be reasonable if their own team is good. I don't like AU, and I hope you guys lose every game, but if you don't and you guys are playing good ball, no reason to be a dick about it and try to fit it into some little mold of suckage. For that matter, I'm having to eat a little crow as far as Newton goes. That's fine with me, though. I guess what I'm saying is, I know we're rivals and all, but what is so damn wrong about a little healthy competition?

This post is great.  However, I guess it's because I remember the "Tate is a crying bitch" type thread from last year's game, while you and B'ham slurpped on Saban's pimpledick, that makes all of your level headed type posts seem rehearsed, or written with bullshit colored ink.

I even once credited you with being one of the .001% of reasonable bammer posters, but that shit permanently made me look at you different.

Keep on keeping on though...  Healthy comopetition...sounds good.

Nothing. It is true that both fan bases have those idiot fans. There are more bammers here at work than there is Auburn fans and you would have thought that bama has lost every game this year. These guys around here can not stand the fact Auburn is doing well. Its amazing to see this.

I said it then, and I will say it now. The only reason I ever said anything about Tate was because he talked shit. You can try and twist what he said however you want it, but he meant what he said. I saw an article somewhere after he had been drafted where he stood behind those comments.

I'm not real sure LSU's D is all that. I mean, the teams they have played put up some scores, and these teams are not really highly thought of right now.

He can score a last second (or no seconds...) fourth quarter off the back foot prayer of a TD like usual if he wants, but I don't think it will help him if Cam puts AU ahead by four TD's before it happens....

We shall see...

LSU's D is better than Arky, but I believe that Cam does a great job of reading what the defense gives when it comes down to it.   He's extremely patient out of the backfield and takes full advantage of wherever the holes are.  He's also proven to be serviceable in the passing game when needed also.  I don't judge his pass game based on the few BAD..and they were bad.. floaters he's thrown.

I think his passing and decision making is improving.  He really didn't need to throw all that much.

So far, I've picked an LSU game on parlay 4 times this season.  Lester's burnt my ass all four times.  I'm taking Auburn and the points (however many).  Something has to break the Mad Hatter's voodoo.  And it needs to be broken before Bama plays, because I'm not sure we can get the required 30 points ahead of LSU that it takes to beat Les.

It's funny cause we both need the other to actually finish the season undefeated. If we take care of LSU and LSU beat bama we would pretty much have the west won.  However, if we were to go undefeated we might get held out of the MNC.  bama in turn needs to beat an undefeated Auburn to have a shot to make the MNC.  Can I hope that another Katrina unexpectedly hits LSU the weekend bammer plays them?

I could see this happening. I don't like that we have to go to their house for this game. Hopefully it will be a 2:30 game.

Our offense is playing like shit, and well, theirs just is shit. I think our playcalling is becoming a little too predictable, and that's fine if you're still getting it done. It worked last season. You knew what we were going to do, but we did it anyway, and made you like it. Not so much this season, though. Need more play action, and definitely need to stretch the field more. I can't remember the last time I saw us throw the ball beyond 20 yards. Even if you're not connecting, it puts it in the defense's head that they still have to defend it.

I think our defense responded well after the loss. Not that Ole Miss is super scary or a huge threat in the air or anything, but I think our secondary will be OK the rest of the season. We're 25th in the country in pass defense, and that's not horrible when you replaced your entire secondary with some sophomores and true freshmen, minus one guy.

I cannot believe I am saying this, for many reasons...

But I have these visions of an undefeated Gus Bus, with The Chin standing on top behind a Cam Newton 50 caliber machine gun, bands of ammo looped over his arm, rolling into Turd Stadium to face a one loss bammer team for all the marbles...

Mmmmmm... tingles in all the good spots...

I will go ahead and say it...fuck it....

I don't think anyone matches up against Cam. Not a single person on any team. If he is running that lead option, and you have it defended perfectly with one guy responsible for Cam, you can forget it. I will take Cam Newton against anyone in the country one on one. Anyone. To run past. or run through.

Add to that, we don't have chopped liver with the guys playing around him. We got some damn good play makers that are the zing to cam's zang. Offensively, we are better than anything I have ever seen at Auburn. By a LONG shot. That includes 2004.

^^^THIS times infinity!

The slight tweeks that Malzahn has made in the run game with the option, is going to put every defense we play in a severe bind, because merely spying Cam with one LB is almost useless...and IF you got a man LB that can take Cam on...we got speed in in McCaleb and Fannin.   Funny thing is, you don't hear folks saying it because we don't bring in special wildcat personnel...but we're running variations of the plays we ran out of the wildcat about half the plays we run, Malzahn just added a read to it.

They've done it FAR less...I know we had Kodi throw one pass Saturday...But Cam has been the guy in the goal line this year since early on.  Kodi only has 3 rushes, and 3 passes this entire season.  That's on pace to be 1/10th the rushes and 1/3rd the pass totals of last season.  A change every now and then is fine...Stop hating on Kodi...he's contributing, and being a team player.

But Cam has been the guy in the goal line this year since early on.

I don't know about in the stadium, but everyone watching at home flat knew that with inches to go, it would be nothing other than Cam over the top.  That was the biggest DUH moment of the season so far.  Hell, as mentioned many times, the dude FALLS for 6 yards.  I even audibled that play (see, more Psychic Wench Skreets...)

So if I knew, Arky had to know - and they STILL could not stop him.

So I am right with you, WE!!!  Supercam it is...

I think it's pretty damn cool that we have an offensive threat where every-fuckin'-body knows what's coming, and they can't stop it.

"Pretty Damn Cool" does not even BEGIN to cover it... Fucking Awesome is more like it...

I am all in.  I am a believer.  I am not saying that the games don't stress me to the max, but I no longer have a sick in the gut feeling when we fall behind.  As long as there is time on the clock, Auburn can win the game.

I.  AM.  ALL.  IN.

My thoughts exactly.  Geez....some of you people, I swear.

BTW RWS, with all due respect and I do mean all due respect, your team sucks Donkey Dick.

I will go ahead and say it...phuk it....

Even Tim Tebow lost a game or 6.

I was thinking about the whole bammer fanbase implosion this morning.

Saban has the worst job in all of CFB due to the expectations of his fan base.  Not only does he have to coach up a bunch of 18-23 year old kids to the point of winning a nayshenul champeenship every year, he also has to do this while simultaneously decimating Auburn in everything from recruiting to on the field play.   It is not enough that he win the egg - they only care if he wins the egg AND Auburn sucks ass at the same time.

The bammers are freaking now because even though they have a damn fine football team with a great head coach who is still winning games and still has a shot at a repeat, that is all nullified because Auburn is undefeated, has a kick ass Heisman candidate for a QB, a great coach and super recruiting classes.  NONE of that is within Saban's control.

Y'all do realize that if Auburn wins the Iron Bowl, the bammer nation will turn on him like a pack of rabid pitbulls.  The LSU fan base turned on Saban because they got spoiled by the egg. They booed, he left.   The bammer fanbase will turn on Saban if Auburn continues to be successful - they just cannot be happy with being successful in their own right.  They want to crush Auburn too.

Now, i am not saying that I don't want to grind bammer into dust beneath my feet.  But i am not measuring the quality of Auburn's success this year in combination with bammer's travails (perceived or otherwise)  I would be perfectly content with bammer coming in second in the west, just as long as Auburn is number one.  My joy at the way this season is playing out for my beloved Tigers is in NO WAY based on what bammer does or doesn't do, except the Iron Bowl.  Any joy I take from bammer problems would be the same no matter what Auburn is doing, just by virtue of the fact that I hate those inbred bastards.

I'd rather beat the tar out of them when they are decent, to preclude any excuses or bullshit.

And THAT is my longwinded, roundabout stream of consciousness statement about the stupidity of the bammer fanbase this year.

Yes - what I am saying is that if Auburn's success comes at bammer's expense, that just makes it that much sweeter.  But I don't take less joy in a great Auburn season if bammer also is decent - just as long as the turds finish behind us, I am thrilled.  And if we take care of bidness like I think we will, that is exactly where they will be - in our dust.

Their fanbase has to have it both ways to be happy.  And yeah, I meant the double entendre there too.  Gotta keep both Billy Bob AND Bobby Bill happy, you know... no favoritism.

In my perfect fantasy world we win the IB, SEC and (with some luck) the BCS.

Bammer fans boo Nicky.  Nicky gets his feelings hurt because the sacrificing of goats and chickens to appease him has ended and he storms out of Tuscaloosa with all the fury of a petulant 3 year old.

Who in the FUCK will they get to replace that guy?  There isn't a coach of his caliber that would volunteer for that sort of pressure cooker.  Hell, as much as it pains me to say, there aren't very many coaches of his caliber at all.

My enjoyment of an Auburn football season doesn't depend on Bama's successes or failures.  But I do enjoy the shit out of watching them flail around due to their own inbred hillbilly fanbase.

We got plenty of money and Nick will leave when he leaves. No coach will stay forever. You think for one minute Nick listens to anything we as Alabama fans say? I mean if Cheese it listened to what the allbarn folks said he would have never coached a game, kinda like Mike Price style. I love seeing little bro.. I mean allbarn doing well. It is great for each school, the great state of Alabama and it is great for a fan of college football. I think heading into the IB allbarn will be 11-0 and Alabama will be 10-1. But if either team loses one or more games the IB will still be an awesome game and one you would not want to miss. But what do I know I am just a  :bamahomer:
