Title: Fun.

This is the band that sings that "We Are Young" song.

It's one of those pop songs I don't necessarily hate on the radio. So I figured I'd check out their other shit.

Their two albums are infinitely better than anything I expected.

Definitely check them out.

They're more like Queen meets Don McLean meets some indie pop band like The New Pornographers (who you may not have heard before either, but you should check them out as well) meets Kanye West. All that and they're on the pop-punk label, Fueled By Ramen, so there's a bit of that sort of feel to it as well.

Surprisingly good stuff.

I liked Aim and Ignite better than their new album, but they're both good albums. The lead singer's former band The Format was solid as well, check out their album Dog Problems.

Agree. The Kanye-ish electronic aspect didn't kick in until that album. I think the first one's better without that influence.
