Title: Late defections/grade trouble
Post by: AUTailgatingRules on February 01, 2008, 04:03:22 PM
Rumors on scout and rivals that Baker is no longer a soft verbal (no surprise) and that Deas won't make grades.  Someone with some access to premium content give us the skinny.

Defensive lineman Charles Deas will be heading to junior college.

New Berlin, N.Y.--Charles Deas, a defensive lineman from Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., who played prep school football at Milford Academy this past season, won’t be signing with the Auburn Tigers on Feb. 6th.

The 6-5, 320-pounder originally signed with LSU out of Boyd Anderson High School, but did not qualify. He took an official visit to Auburn in December, where he was scheduled to sign next week, but will now likely be heading to junior college due to academic reasons.

Deas, who was overweight when reporting to prep school, dropped approximately 50 pounds. He made 32 tackles, including 15 for lost yardage, in 10 games last fall. He also added two sacks, one caused fumble and four fumble recoveries.

Also, we're pulling our Scholarship from Jamar Forston....God Damn IT!  Does No One Want to Come To God Damn AUBURN????  Really???  Here's the List of Our Great Recruiting Efforts.

Enrique Davis:  Pulled out of offer, probably going to Ole Miss....OLE MISS
Charles Deas:  Big Time DT, Big Time Dumb Ass... Couldn't make the grades so Auburn pulled the Scholarship.
George Baker:  De-committed and now looking pretty hard at USF and Rutgers as well as Auburn (just out of courtesy, since AU had spent so much God Damn money on the little shit).
Jamar Forston:  Has spent the last three weekends on FSU's campus... Getting to know the players and coaches a little more.  AU pulled the Scholarship.
Antoine McClain:  This one is kinda fishy......I'm thinking he wanted some Money to go with his scholly?  Anyway AU pulled their Scholarship.
Reggie Hunt  I just have a feeling that he's going to UWV.
And the Number of recruits that can't make it and are going JUCO or Prep.
The way it looks.....Auburn might not actually have a RB come in this year if Eric Smith doesn't qualify.  Half of the committed WRs and DBs are S&P guys.  Maybe Coach Tuberville should think about this coming year and NOT GO GOD DAMN HUNTING DURING RECRUITING, because there is someone in his backyard taking a Shit all over the place and whereever CTT goes, he steps in it.  Come on Auburn....Give the kids what they want, we won't get in trouble, lol.

That's all I can think of this early in the morning.

Explanation from CTT not a whole lot he can do about kids not making the grade.

From Phillip Marshall's Blog....Interview with CTT
On the new rule raising the number of required core academic courses from 14 to 16

"That has made it really hard. There's not a guy anybody is recruiting right now that is already eligible. Some of them are going to have to take summer school courses to qualify."
