Looks like Ed O wanted to keep the recruits and then decided to make changes. They pay DM16 $550K so he ain't hurting but sucks for his career trajectory a little. I'm sure he'll land somewhere. In other news, there's a WR coaching position open in tSuckoloosa. I want to hit myself in the balls for even thinking it.

This right here.  I wonder if that fat bastard let any of Craig's recruits know beforehand that he wouldn't be there 5 minutes after they signed on the dotted line.

That rumor has been out there for a fortnight.

That would be just like Saban though. And meanwhile JJ and Gus will be over here, singing Kum Ba Yah around the dumpster fire that is Auburn football.

>: We don't know if the guy is even a good position coach.
Same goes for Burns.

Don't disagree.  I have to say as much as I love DC, I think he may have been a problem.

I have no insider info but the way it seemed to me that Craig formed too tight of a relationship with players by overstepping the line between coach and being their friend.  I think he was the reason Duke got a 67th chance.

I think that makes him a great recruiter but that's about it.

What this Guy said ^^^. There is a pattern at this point. Fisher probably covered for some of his shortcomings at fsu. At aub and lsu he was exposed for simply being a recruiter.

Bring his ass back to Auburn, make him lead recruiter. Its not like we throw to our receivers anyway.

Hard to say if he was a good WR corch or not.  I've been told by a couple of coaches that the passing scheme in Malzahn's offense is nothing short of awful.  If the running game is kicking ass, it looks great because play action is always there.  But if we were behind and had to air it out to play catch up, we'd be hard pressed to score.

If you recall, Ricardo Louis pretty much said he'd have to learn how to run real routes when he went to the NFL.  He tried to back track later but he had already indicated what they were doing at AU was pretty simplistic.

And the only time I truly remember seeing this offense with real intermediate routes was in 2013/first half of 2014.  Otherwise, the two routes Gus seems to coach is the bubble screen and "you go long".
