Investigators are looking into a Facebook Live video showing a group of people holding a young man hostage.

FOX 32 NEWS - Chicago investigators are questioning four African-Americans after a Facebook Live video shows a group of people torturing a white mentally disabled man while someone yelled "F*** Trump!" and "F*** white people!"
Chicago police were made aware of the video Tuesday afternoon. A young African American woman streamed the video live on Facebook showing at least four people holding the young white man hostage.
"The video is reprehensible," said police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi.

"It's sickening. You know it makes you wonder what would make individuals treat somebody like that," Police Supt. Eddie Johnson added.
In the video, the victim is repeatedly kicked and hit, his scalp is cut, all while he is tied up with his mouth taped shut.
Detectives think the victim, who lives in the suburbs and appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s, met some acquaintances in northwest suburban Streamwood and they drove him to Chicago in a stolen vehicle, Guglielmi said.
The victim is then believed to have been held hostage and tortured in an apartment in the 3400 block of West Lexington on the West Side, Guglielmi said.
On Tuesday afternoon, police officers spotted the victim walking on a street on the West Side wearing shorts, Guglielmi said. Because it was unusual to see a man in shorts in the cold weather, the officers stopped to talk to the man, who appeared disoriented, and he was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Toxicology tests were performed at the hospital to determine if the victim was under the influence of anything.
"It's quite a possibility that this is a kidnapping and that's certainly one of the charges we'll be seeking if it turns out to be that. But, he's traumatized by the incident and it's tough to communicate with him at this point," said Chicago Police Commander Kevin Duffin.
Community activist Andrew Holmes was made aware of the disturbing video, which he is calling a "hate crime."
Although President-elect Donald Trump was mentioned, Chicago Police do not believe the crime was politically motivated.
"I think some of it is just stupidity, people just ranting about something that they think might make a headline. I don't think that at this point we have anything concrete to really point us in that direction, but we'll keep investigating and we'll let the facts guide us on how this concludes," Supt. Johnson said.
Charges are expected to be filed in the next 24 hours.

They stole a van, lured the kid into the van. Tied him up, beat his ass, made him drink toilet water. Then when someone below them called the cops because of the noise from the ass whipping, they got made and kicked the callers door in threatening them as well.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Anne Arundel County Police Department has charged a 14-year-old girl with a juvenile citation for sending a threatening tweet related to Arundel High School.
Police began their investigation after Arundel High School officials told them about a suspicious Twitter account.
The account, named @KoolkidsKlanKkk, reportedly sent out a tweet that read, “We’re planning to attack tomorrowâ€.
This account used similar language to a racial petition that had been passed around Anne Arundel High School by the “Kool Kids Klanâ€.
Police worked with Twitter, and were able to identify the person who created the account and sent out the threatening tweet.
That person has been identified as a 14-year-old African American female who attends Arundel High School.
Authorities interviewed the girl while she was with her parents, and police say she admitted to creating the Twitter account and sending the threatening tweet.
She was charged with a juvenile citation for disruption of school activities and released to her parents.
“It makes me really upset. I can’t believe that students would write something like that,†said parent Michelle Fitzurka.
“I kind of felt unsafe at the school and a little hurt,†said Taylor Nash, a freshman at Arundel High.
The school district said all the students involved in that incident were disciplined, but the students were not identified, and to complicate an already tense situation, Wednesday night hundreds showed up for a meeting at the school, but some parents still had questions.
“That is not good enough. What’s going to happen with the students that are still here?â€said parent Tamara Hannah.
“The federal law prohibits me from telling you exactly what the consequences were. But I will say to you that the school acted swiftly, they acted aggressively and they administered appropriated disciplinary action,†said Bob Mosier, chief communications officer of Anne Arundel Public Schools.
As parents left the school, there’s hope the community will begin to heal.
“I am very confident that Ms. Davenport and the staff at the school is going to do everything they can to keep all of our children safe,†said parent Sheri Paris.
“I just hope that we can all come together, not just here at the school, but as a society,†said parent Lisa Smith.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools Superintendent George Arlotto released the following statement:
“I want to thank Police Chief Tim Altomare, State’s Attorney Wes Adams, County Executive Steve Schuh, and their staffs for their thorough and expeditious work to identify a suspect in the online post that threatened violence at Arundel High School this week. The anonymity of the internet provides a murky and complex disguise for many who want to threaten the safety and security of our communities. Our partners in the Police Department and county government peeled back that disguise quickly in this case, in the process reassuring parents, students, and staff that our schools are safe places in which to educate our children.â€

A student subsequently was identified and will be subject to disciplinary action under school and district policy. Lakeville South High School administration received permission from the parent to share that the student is non-Caucasian and has significant special education needs. While this does not excuse the student’s actions, the District believes it will help the community and others put this incident into perspective.
This incident was very unfortunate and certainly does not reflect the values of our community and LSHS. The District does, however, view this as a teachable moment for our students and staff. To foster that, LSHS has created a plan to facilitate conversations regarding diversity with our students and staff.

The actions of the convicted were stupid. Even if the partying family exacerbated the situation by cursing the morons and throwing rocks and bottles at them as has been reported, that doesn't excuse the escalation. Someone could have gotten hurt.
The sentences are excessive for what transpired. That's hard to argue. Whether you think they "got what they deserved" or not, a comparison of sentences given to people who followed through rather than making drunken threats will bear this out. There are burglars, rapists and killers who got off lighter. While someone could have been hurt, nobody was.
Also don't think you can argue that this was a "precedent" sentence as opposed to a judicious one. Because of the element of the confederate flag there was a fear of being perceived as taking it lightly. I agree with CC in that had this been a Black Lives Matter march rolling through a white neighborhood and a similar confrontation occurred we'd never hear about it. Misdemeanors to go around. I think that's wrong. Justice should be blind and I think in this case she was looking over her shoulder afraid to upset a group known to respond with outrage, protest and worse at the mildest potential slight. As silly as it sounds on it's face, white people are at a significant disadvantage in situations like this.

The drove up to some black families, called them and their children "blacks", told them that they were going to kill them and their kids, and did it while pointing a shotgun at them. So not only is this threatening someone with a deadly weapon, it is doing it for the sole reason because they are black.
I'm sorry, but that is bullshit. And I don't feel sorry for someone doing something stupid because they are drunk. That's not an excuse. This was premeditated to an extent and needs to be fucking stopped. I don't feel sorry for them one fucking bit.
