Title: Closing the book on AJ
Post by: Kaos on December 22, 2013, 04:52:16 PM
Auburn will never have to face AJ McTatthole again. Won't miss playing him.  His street-level backwater arrogance and general smarminess did nothing to the boost the rivalry.

He was never as good as they wanted to believe he was. He's not in the same stratosphere as Cam, despite their desperate hope to make him so.  If you had to compare him to any Auburn quarterback in history he'd be more of a Brandon Cox -- without the mental toughness and football grit -- or Daniel Cobb/Chris Todd. All benefited greatly from a stellar supporting cast.

He was never quite as completely devoid of talent as most of us wanted to believe either. He wouldn't start at A&M, Auburn (except in 2012 when Tonya Harding would have), LSU, Georgia or South Carolina. Actually I don't know that he would have started anywhere except maybe Florida. He can't win games by himself and he doesn't fit many offenses. So, yeah, he pretty much was close to as bad as we thought.

Two moments, to me, completely encapsulated the entire McTatthole experience and both came during the 2013 Iron Bowl.

1) The "Heisman" Moment.  It was a blown coverage. He drifted seven yards deep in the end zone and wrenched his body to throw the ball as far as he possibly could.  It rainbowed out to the Auburn 36. The ball traveled 43 yards in the air.  NFL quarterbacks can flick their wrist and throw a ball 43 yards.  I went outside, haven't thrown a football in anger in 20 years, and after a few warmup tosses I hurled one about 38 yards.  Give me two weeks to work on it and I can definitely throw it 43.  I'll be able to throw it that far without the big balloon arc, too. And that's his "Heisman" moment.  A 43-yard rainbow.  I'm no NFL scout, but that looks pretty crappy to me.  It was a blown coverage.  Compare that to the Marshall throw against Georgia.  Looked effortless. Ball went 60 yards in the air.  Just saying.

2) The Exit.  He's waddling off the field with his helmet on before Davis crosses the goal line.  He gets sympathy from some old lady and that horse faced burger eater.  Poor baby.  What a puss. Most of his team had the decency and class to congratulate their rivals before heading to the locker room. But not titty baby.  I thought that was pretty sorry of him and showed just what he was made of.  Pudding.

I'm glad he's gone if for no other reason than we won't have to read his whore mother's every thought as al.com reports on her tweets.  I will be glad to see her fade into insignificance.  Also be glad to see his talent-deprived girlfriend drift off into her inevitable future of really bad SyFy movies and skinomax soft porn.

The pussificatiom continues.

McTatthole will likely skip senior bowl. Not because he's scared or knows he can't measure up.

According to a bama fan I know? Because he don't want all the attention he would get in Mobile to take attention away from other players. That's just the kind of great guy he is.

Riiiiiiiight.

Quote from the scouts was he intends to stand on his years of playing at Alabama.   :bugs:

And the cocky fucker will be drafted so low he will end up on a team that's already got talent there.  Hopefully he will be a permanent back-up like McGinger is.

I like how his whore mother is now being quoted on his behalf.

"We ain't made no decisions yayut... Shhhhh, Jimmy Ray, quit your gruntin and QUIT DRIPPIN CHEST HAIR SWEAT ON MAH TITTAYS!! uHHHH what I mean to say is we love us some Tre Mason, and AJ and Kat ain't determinated if he gonna play in that game, but he a damn good boy....mmmmmm, he's a good one... oh yeah, he's good.... ohhhhhh Jimmy Ray, say 'I love you momma...'  SAY IT, SAY IT... now suckle on mah teat... yeah, like that, like you tryin to get milk outta it..."

Did y'all see that NFL arm on display last night? Whew, those 5-10 yard passes were...I can't even put into words, but I'll try...Out of this World.

Those handoffs? I mean come on, it's not even fair to have him on the field. The NCAA had better make a rule about utilizing a QB with God like abilities, like AJ has.

Don't get me started on that Hail Mary 45 yard punt that he chunked. I could hear all the NFL scouts texting their bosses to make a move to get the #1 pick no matter what.

Chris Todd would have had the same numbers as McTraitorFricker had in his career.

Reason 4873 why AJ is a douche is this post-game quote:

Quote
"I loved my time here," he said. "I had a ton of success, a lot of success that will probably never be reached again in college football; Back-to-back national championships, it's never happened in the BCS era. I did a lot of great things."

Self absorbed.

As much as we bag on Manziel he was in the middle of everything against Duke. Trying to get the rest of the team up, telling them to give him another shot. Carrying the team.

Where was McDouche last night? Sitting alone. Leaving alone. Uninvolved.

I agree that Chris Todd or Danny Cobb would have had better stats in the same situation. So would trotter.

Bcs era is/was 15 years old and is over now AJ. Way to go out on a limb there. What a dumbass.

And yes Manziel is a badass. Love his fight. People can rag in him all they want. Jealously. They'd all take him in a min.

And if he never really makes a great impact in the NFL the kid will always be a once in a lifetime college football legend.

He plays the game the way it should be played. That's what I like about him. Autographs, getting drunk, etc. All a red herring to bring the guy down. With great success comes great envy. The guy can ball. Period.

I have heard that they are thinking about using Jakies "lowlights" as a teaching aide.  "How not to tackle" instructional video.

Can't find the quote anywhere online (imagine that), but on the Fox 6 sports cast this morning they played a clip postgame where McDouchebag threw everybody on the team under the bus other than himself, Moseley and Norwood.  He really is a Saban protege.
