Title: "Yes Man" "Seven Pounds" "The Day the Earth Stood Still"
Post by: AuburnChopper 3.0 on December 22, 2008, 10:25:16 AM
Saw all three of them this past weekend with my fiance...

"Yes Man" - Liar Liar with a different plot, but good.  Worth the price of admission...  Good mindless laughs...
Hard to dislike anything when Zooey Deschanel is in it.

"The Day the Earth Stood Still" - Holy shit! Aliens! You are all going to die because you're destroying the planet. Wait, you're hot, and I like your kid. Nevermind. Movie over.   Save your money and watch on a Blue Ray when it comes out.  You've seen everything cool in the trailer.

"Seven Pounds" - Take Seven pounds, then mulitply that by 100, and you'll almost get how "heavy" this movie is.  This is NOT your feel good movie of the year.

That is all.

Someone on the Rivals mainboard ruined Seven Pounds for me.  I won't spoil it for anyone else...

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT

I thought the ending sounded retarded.

The Day The Earth Stood Still was a steaming pile of shit.  Worst movie I've seen in a looooong time.

I still watch The Replacements every time it comes on.  Cheesey but entertaining.  Reeves is a horrible actor but occasionally, the movie he's in doesn't suck too bad.

The action shots on the field were pretty good.  I love it when the lineman blows chunks in the huddle and they all stay huddled and move over.  John Madden's like...WTF??

And the cheerleaders????

BTW Seven Pounds are his organs that he gives to seven people after he commits suicide because he killed seven people in a DUI. Just saved you $30 in movie fees.

Go watch the movie Seven instead.
