I’ve got a few.
“Stand up, your father’s passing,” from To Kill a Mockingbird.
“How much I’m going to miss her,” at the end of Little Mermaid (cartoon version, not the live abomination)
End of Officer and a Gentleman
End of Big Fish - because that’s basically my dad.

Facing the Giants - bear crawling scene & FG kicker scene
The Passion of the Christ - obvious reasons
The Fox and the Hound - lonely old lady leaving Tod in the woods to keep him safe. That lady is pretty much my sweet mom
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape - leaving little Leo in the cold bath
Agree with you on Big Fish. It’s my dad, too.

Passion of the Christ is a different animal. That was pain. I watched it once and it hurt so much I haven’t been able to do it again.
Little mermaid is just me and my own daughters. Knowing you have to let them go.
I can get a little dusty at the end of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles too. And sometimes at the end of Christmas Vacation when Clark says he did it. Because my family stuff is always wrecked too and I’d like to have that finish.

I can’t believe the old standard wasn't pulled out for this: Old Yeller.
And if you didn’t cry when Harry Stamper told his little girl goodbye, you’re a commie bastage!

Big Fish - with K here, reminded me of my old man
My Dog Skip - seriously, the ending is a real tear jerker. Based on a true story from Willie Morris growing up in Mississippi in the mid late 40s
Cinderella Man - great ending, not sad, but emotional. Great payoff at the end. Also a true story - Jimmy Braddock played by Russell Crowe wonderfully.
Forrest Gump - when Jenny dies, the grave scene, the birds fly away. You gotta feel for the guy. Hanks did that one well.

y'alls dad got around.

I know you keed. But have you seen the ending? I thought it was great. Took me watching it a few times to grasp the symbolism of it all.

Got an odd one. The very end of Captain Phillips. It's not sad, but more powerful and emotional. Hanks (Captain Phillips) has just been through physical and psychological hell, and the ship's doctor is checking him out. He kind of loses it and all those emotions come out. I think it's one of his best acting scenes.
I'm like, holy shit, why am I tearing up?
