Diddy Dirty Money's Last Train to Paris is a pretty solid album.

I think it's the most interesting project Puffy Puff Daddy P. Diddy Diddy Sean Combs has on his resume. Very futuristic and atypical beats, yet still pretty poppy. I guess more along the lines of Drake or some of Kanye West's more recent stuff. Has a little bit of a Euro House Trip-Hop feel.

Pretty different stuff from the "Uh Huh. Yeah" guy from the 90's.
Have to agree.  Downloaded it, pretty good all around.

Yelawolf recently released his debut album, Radioactive.

It is damn good. You have to get past the multiple Crimson Tide references. Dude is full bammer. But he is an amazing talent.

He did it right. His mixtapes that have been out to this point have an underground feel and highlight his rap skills. His album, however, is more focused on the songs themselves. They are structured well. I could hear many of these becoming pop radio hits. Not necessarily a bad thing. Think B.O.B. Then other songs on the album are distinctly unique.

Trying to pick out highlights is difficult, because they're all so good. Also it seems like, rather than getting tired of his style as the album wears on, each song seems to be better and better than the previous one.

If I have to pick highlights, check out "Radio" (an ode to 90's music), "Slumerican Shitizen", "Everything I Love The Most", "Write Your Name", and "Throw It Up".

Fuck that.  Fuck that ten ways to Sunday.

Have you lost your mind?  There is no "talent" "amazing" enough to overcome that kind of shit.  I don't care if Snoop, Eminem, Dre and Tupac all made a baby together it wouldn't have enough talent to overcome ONE reference to that shit, much less multiple.

Say wha?

What about Trunk Muzik. It has the aforementioned "Pop the truck", "I just wanna party" and my favorite of the album "Daddy's Lambo"...

I happened to catch a new HBO documentary called Angry Boys.  It follows juvenile delinquents in Australia, and is in general pretty fucking odd.

Anyhow, the two brothers that the documentary mostly follows have an obsession with this American rapper who goes by the name of S.mouse.  Never heard of the guy before.

They interviewed him pretty extensively in one of the episodes, and showed several of his songs.  And holy shit is this bad.

You got trolled by HBO.

I caught a PBS bit last weekend about this Australian comedian and his new show "Angry Boys".  I forgot the guy's name, but he plays the twin brothers, their grandmother and the fake rapper.

Edit note:  Chris Lilley is the guy's name.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Lilley_%28comedian%29

Thank God.  Because I was afraid that S.mouse was serious.

Well played, HBO.  I thought the characters were a bit over the top (and that the grandmother looked a bit mannish, as well as S.mouse looking oddly not black), but in general it was convincing.  I just thought they were all fucking crazy Australians.

I have that Tinie Tempah album.

This was going to be our intro song, and I think is still played before the games.

I like that Dot Rotten guy. Will look into that.

On the subject of British Rappers, ever heard of Dizzee Rascal?

His debut, Boy In Da Corner, debuted about 10 years ago, but it's pretty good.

He's had 3 albums since, but they're not quite as interesting sounding. Pretty different shit, especially when it was released.

One of the best videos I have ever seen...

I was just re-watching this and realized that I skipped the end of the video in my previous viewings.  When he walks into the apartment and asks his buddy what he's watching on tv, the guy says "Pharcyde" and Shad says, "Never heard of 'em".  Cracked me up...since his whole video was an homage to the video playing on the tv.

Also, check out the "Yaa, I Get It" video by Shad.  Fucking bananas.  This guy is a phenomenal rapper and does it without resorting to the standard rap music crutches: guns, drugs, hos, etc.  Shit, the guy doesn't even curse.   I've been on his bandwagon a while, and he still impresses me.

I'm super conflicted, because I like the guy and can otherwise overlook his bammer-ness.  Buuuuut...in the "Let's Roll" video, I'm pretty sure I saw him shooting skeet (the non-sexual kind) with Harvey Updyke.

I like the guy.  I'm not really into his type of music, but he's from my hometown and shot most of that video in Etowah County.  Glad to see someone local making a name for himself.  A lot of people from my area are in that video, and I don't know for certain, but I think "let's roll" is the video where he has every family member in the video.  Could be an uncle instead of Harvey.
