Big Gun - AC/DC (From the Last Action Hero soundtrack - same soundtrack that What the Hell Am I is on)

I never got into Audioslave.  Although I like both Rage and Soundgarden.

AIC was one of my favorite bands when they came out.   Still are.

BTW listening to:

Shadow On the Sun - Audioslave

I posted a thread a while back about them getting back together.  Anyone heard anything on them other than an album (compilation) release next month?

Nope....like Jarhead, never got into Audioslave.

Loved Alice though.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Ah...yes, SG was excellent. Especially in that era when everything out of Seattle was gold. Black Hole Sun is still one of my favorites. Damn them for splitting up. Who knows what kind of sound they would produce now. If its the same classic grunge sound from the early-mid 90's, then their era may have passed them by.

SG has a deal with Guitar Hero 6, where if you buy the game the week it comes out, you will get a free copy of Telephantasm (while supplies last).  Black Rain (the new single from that album) will be a playable song on GH6, and the rest of Telephantasm will be DLC the week of release.  Rusty Cage and Outshined are going to be fun to play, but where is Big Dumb Sex?

I saw SG at Lollapalooza 92.  I wish I could remember much from that day, but I was shitfaced before Pearl Jam was done playing.

I will have to keep an eye on that.  Thanks for the heads up!

Where the Streets have No Name (the non-Prowler version) - U2

Tainted Love - Soft Cell

For some strange and totally unknown reason, this is in my personal top five favorite songs of all time list.  I LOVE Tainted Love.

Quote
Sometimes I feel I've got to run away I've got to get away
From the pain that you drive into the heart of me
The love we share seems to go nowhere
And I've lost my light
For I toss and turn I can't sleep at night

Once I ran to you (I ran)
Now I'll run from you
This tainted love you've given
I give you all a boy could give you
Take my tears and that's not nearly all
Oh...tainted love
Tainted love

Don't touch me please
I cannot stand the way you tease
I love you though you hurt me so
Now I'm going to pack my things and go

Something about the music and the tone and the way he sings the lyrics... LOVE IT.

"Bad Company" - Bad Company

There is a bad remake of this playing on terrestrial radio these days.  Very bad.

"Flagpole Sitta" Harvey Danger

Good lyrics in this one.  Never heard anything else by them, though.

Saw them warm up for The Cult.  Good show but like you I can't tell you one other song of theirs.
