Actually heard this one on VH1 One Hit Wonders the other day. Apparently the lead of this group (Stuart Adamson I think) killed himself a while back. I always thought the tune was cheesy, but not bad and kind of catchy.

Useless factoid - Foghat and Big Country were both Scottish rock bands.

Did not know that about Foghat, but a bagpipe has the main instrumental part in the song Big Country... kind of cool.

blue oyster cult and foghat played at a local casino this past weekend.  

couldn't attend.  we have a visitor from hot'lanta.

speaking of 80's...huey lewis and the news and kenny loggins will be appearing at nearby casinos in the coming months.

Speaking of old acts from yesteryear....saw Three Dog Night (whats left of them anyway which is just Chuck Negron - former lead singer) this past weekend. Pretty good - he could still belt out all the good ones and hit most of the high parts in their stuff. When he shouted out "Jeremiah was a bullfrog..." it moved a lot.
