I've posted a few things about this band.  Don't know how popular they are outside the thriving metropolis that is...The Wiregrass.  But I've really enjoyed a bunch of tunes from these guys.  Maybe not this song in particular, but many have likened their sound to Led Zepplin.  The lead singer has some freakin' pipes on him.  Pretty unique sound.  Thought I'd post an old appearance from Letterman.  If you like the rock and the roll...

Just saw this

Caught a Bob show in Atlanta about 5 years ago. Only song he didn't perform was Still The Same. I was a little disappointed in that. But great show.

Anders Osborne. Saw him live this weekend with Wes. His sound is a combination of Neil Young and Drive by Truckers. Check out "Fools Gold" , "Different Drum" or "It Can't Hurt You Anymore".

Been really getting into these two blues and country singers. Tyler Childers and Colter Wall.

Just saw Colter will be at WorkPlay in Birmingham in November. Is the venue worth the road trip from Gulf Breeze worth it?

So, as many genres of music that we talk about and argue over, at the top of my list has always been hard driving, bass driven rock with some funk to it. Things like Saliva..Ladies and Gentlemen etc.  I had heard several songs from this band and really knew nothing about them other than their name.  They're okay.  Not saying this is a favorite band or anything like that. But two things...this is along the lines of the type music that gets Snags pumped.  Second, until I pulled up a few videos just now, I had no idea this is a two piece band.  Talk about innovative bass players.  Sample:

Surprised as hell when I found out they were a 2 piece band. Those 2 guys make a hell of a lot noise. Out of the Black and Little Monster are badass.

I've come to think that Daryl Hall may be one of my favorite musicians.  Not because he's great at any one thing.  He's pretty damn good at a lot of things.  But mostly because of his Daryl's House series.  Most of these are done at his own studio built on to his house.  He has his own musicians work up the songs of numerous artists and Daryl invites them in.  They trade off on each other's hits.

Daughtry, Cheap Trick, Cee-Lo Green, Rob Thomas, Billy Gibbons and on and on and on.  Tonight, I watched a set where Daryl took his band down to Cabo San Lucas to jam with the one and only, Sammy Hagar, at Cabo Wabo.  Wow!  Can you kick back on anything better?  They opened with "Rock Candy" from Hagar's Montrose days, but Sammy said his favorite was "Sexy Little Thing", which he claimed he hadn't performed since his time with Chicken Foot.  Daryl's band killed it.

Quite enjoyable if you get a chance to youtubes.

One of the most fun sessions from Daryl's House evah.  If you don't get a jam with Joe Walsh on Life's Been Good...I can't help any of you.
