BON SECOUR, Ala. -- Baldwin County sheriff's deputies arrested a Foley woman on a charge that she robbed the Pic and Pay convenience store in Bon Secour on Friday night, officials said today.

Adrienne Elaine Blair, 39, has been charged with first-degree robbery. Blair told sheriff's investigators she robbed the store. She said she had taken crack cocaine and oxycotin before the robbery and remembered little about the incident, Maj. Anthony Lowery, Sheriff's Office spokesman, said today.

"We don't believe she was armed, but she told the clerk she had a gun and that meets the criteria under the law," Lowery said. Under the state criminal code, a person who uses a weapon or implies she or he has a weapon can be charged with first-degree robbery, a felony that carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Blair told investigators that she had borrowed the jacket and Auburn cap she was seen wearing in a surveillance photo taken during the robbery.

Lowery said that after the photo appeared in the media, the Sheriff's Office received about 30 calls from residents.

In the statement released after the robbery, officials said they were also looking for a man seen in the store just before the incident. Lowery said today that the man was not involved in the robbery and is no longer being sought.
