District HSE Coordinator – Arkansas Region

TETRA Technologies, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced HSE Manager to provide regional oversight for Onshore Completion Services and Production Testing Services field operations in the Arkansas region.

 Responsibilities
•   Support the Regional Manager and District Managers in implementing TETRA’s HSE Management System.
•   Work closely with operations management and field crews to effectively manage safety and environmental regulatory compliance, conform to corporate policy and meet the requirements of customers and local regulatory agencies.
•   Implement programs to educate managers and employees in work site safety practices, and keeps them apprised of changes in regulatory requirements.
•   Ensure all employees have current company and customer-mandated certificates, schedule and monitor employee training, and provide documentation to district office.  Conduct employee training where required.
•   Inspect facilities/worksites for accident, health, and/or environmental hazards, assist in determining corrective or preventative measures, and work with operations managers to ensure implementation.
•   Support operations managers in investigating incidents and injuries, determining root causes, and preparing reports of findings with recommendations for corrective actions.
•   Plan and conduct new employee orientations in HSE.
•   Oversee and provide training for DOT and CDL requirements, insure documentation is up-to-date and conduct periodic audits.

Requirements:
•   HSE Certification/training.
•   Degree preferred.
•   Five years experience in HSE related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•   Possesses working knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
•   Experienced in DOT regulations and CDL requirements.
•   Computer skills including Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Internet, Outlook, and Database software.
•   Ability to read and interpret various documents, write routine reports and professional correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
•   Pass the required physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening. Pass a background check with no state or federal felony convictions. Posses and maintain a valid driver’s license.
