Houndstooth wasn't always his style.
I knew that black guy was a replacement. Thanks for proving it.
Now, on to reality. If you knew anything about the true character of the men who led our programs you'd hang your head in shame and not post that picture.
Bear Bryant: Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Bryant joined the United States Navy. He served off North Africa, seeing no combat action.
Shug JordanDuring World War II, Jordan saw significant action in North Africa and Sicily before being wounded in the invasion of Normandy and receiving a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He continued in action in the Pacific theater after recovering. Jordan served in every major invasion of World War II in which the U.S. Army played a role (North Africa, Sicily, Normandy and Okinawa).
Ralph Shug Jordan was ten times the man Bryant was. And in the grand scheme of things, what really matters?
