And Thrilla, who has been on a hot streak winning 10 of the last 11 games.

All of this for a bottle of alcohol?  Holy poop.

I love the shit out of numbers.  Not a huge fan of liquor.  As I said before, couldn't see giving out my address if I won.  Just having some fun with this stuff.

Now, there used to be a coach at Alabama, he'd drink the shit out of some mash.

Nice numbers, but I think your method is incorrect.
With the remaining games, I can still make up over a hundred points on you in my best case scenario.
Example:  Auburn loses this game. We both picked Auburn. You for 26 points, me for 18. Auburn loses, I gain 6 points. The difference is even greater when we choose opposite teams.
It would take my pefect scenario to make up ground, but to say a bunch of folks are eliminated at this time is a little premature.
It's all a mute point until AUTR givers his tally.

Boartitz, in your best case scenario Auburn does lose.  Look again.  You can't gain any more than the scenario I showed.  In each game in which you've placed a higher value on a team that we share I've counted as a win.  On each game in which you've placed a lower value on a team that we share I've counted as a loss.  Obviously, in the case we picked two seperate teams I gave you the win and gave myself the loss.

There is no scenario in which the games could play out in which you would gain more than 57 points on me.  Since your deficit right now is -91 it is impossible to overcome.

Go back and take a look again.  Games in "brown" are counted as won, games in light gray are Losses.

If you can come up with a scenario where you gain more than 57 on me points lets do the math.

My best case versus you only. Some teams we both picked, but in some cases it would be to my advantage if we both lost.
Auburn loss    +8 for me
WVa win        2
PSt win          2
Or loss            6
Fla loss            21
N Ill win           41
OK St win         31
SC loss             4
Ark win             6
TT win              3
TCU win             8
GaTech win          13
Central Mich loss   12
Tex win               22
I think this adds up to more than 92 pts.

Boar, in the senario I layed out, you don't win every game.  You lose the games it would be benificial for you to lose and win the games it would be benificial for you to win.  You also win every game in which we don't have a common pick.  You gain 161 points and I gain 104 giving you a net of only 57 points.  Your deficit is -91.

I think you're confusing what I'm referring to as your deficit.  Right now you have 833 total points.  I have 924 points.  You're 91 points behind me.  I'm referring to those 91 points as your deficit.  Let me lay out each game and the points you would gain from them.

Here's where you're making the mistake I made a few pages ago.  These games are NOT to be treated as the bonus games.  They're simply regular games with higher values.  You're right in that if you give a lower value to my higher value and we both lose that you benefit.  But when it's all said and done, the ONLY points you can get are from games you CORRECTLY predict.

The benefit of both of us losing when you gave a lower value isn't that it gives you any points because it doesn't, it's simply that your deficit doesn't grow.

In the graphic your N.Ill game didn't convert to a game showing as "won".  My bad, but that still doesn't change things.  You should be credited 19 points for N.Ill NOT 41.  The fact that I valued the game at 22 is neither here nor there, this isn't a bonus game so you don't gain my "negative" points.  You get 19 points for that game but it still leaves you 15 shy of reaching a positive number in regards to our total.

The mistake I made that you're now making is that I was basically treating these things as if they were in some way bonus games.  If you and I both set the value of the Auburn/NW game at 33 but we picked opposing teams, it wouldn't be a 66 point swing.  It's not a bonus game.  I was treating it like it was and people started getting negative numbers.  Imagine a normal 10 game week.  You can't have a negative number because games lost DON'T count against you.  It starts from a total possible number and deducts as you lose.  If the total points possible for bowl season is 520 points and you place a 33 value on the first game with team A, I place my 33 value on the first game with team B...  there will only be a 33 point difference between us at the end of the game.

Your points in the best case scenario total 180.  BUT you have to give me my points for the games that we shared that were counted as a win.  That gives me 104 points.  When you deduct my 104 from your 180, it does not cover the -91 points below our total right now.

No, he's not.  These are not counted as bonus games.  You get 'em right, you get the points, you get 'em wrong, you don't.

I'm going to count up for myself how many points you and I have, Chattanooga.  Then I'm going to add them to our score before the bowl season started.  Your multiple algorithm derivitive based calculus confuses the shit out of me.

So far, I have 321 total points.  Birmingham Chattanooga Vagisil Massengill has 209 points.

I had 668 going into the bowl games.  Massengill has 776 going into the bowl games.

This puts us at

Thrilla - 989
Massengill - 985

after the Sugar Bowl, before any January 2nd games are played.

Reference here if you need to see final scores before the bowl games and you want to count up the points you've earned thus far in the bowl games.
http://www.tigersx.com/forum/index.php?topic=7994.0

My perfect scenario for today onward would net me 145 points.  Massengils would net him 185.  From here on out, we've picked all the same games, except for Ole Miss vs. Oklahoma State.  I took Okie St. for 6 points, and Massengill took Ole Miss for 13 points.  By my simple calculations...Massengill has it in the bag.  Let me know if I missed something.  Congrats, twatwaffle. If you're too skeered to give out your address because you don't want an endless supply of gay porn arriving at your doorstep...holla.

Again, you've already won.  But I understand that you must continue to draw attention to yourself whenever possible as you post on this board.

Don't forget to leave your address with AUTR.  My connections can send you some beastiality videos that will take you back to your days of teenage sexual experimentation.
