any of you watching the new season?

the pre-show was a little over-the-top, but the back to back epsoides kicked off what should be a great season.

what else will you be watching this fall?

I caught the last 40-45 minutes of it.  What I saw was good, but you're right in that some of it is over the top.  The storylines should be better this season.  I can't wait to see my girl Hayden turn 'bad'.

Other shows I'll be watching are 24 and Chuck.  Chuck was the best new show of last season in my opinion.  Too bad the season got cut in half because of the writer's strike.  I also can't wait to see what they do with 24 this year.  Keifer's been in a Chinese prison for the last year or two, so there is no telling where they'll take it.

Other than that, it'll be nothing but foosball.

"No service. Should have gone with Sprint."  :taunt:

Corporate sponsor tie-ins are getting a little ridiculous.

That aside, it's the only non-comedy show I'm into. I'm pumped for this season.

Bad choice. Last season was some good stuff. It may have taken a little while to get off the ground, but it was pretty awesome. This season looks like it will be pretty interesting. I'm pretty confused right now, but I'm sure it will all clear up soon.

heroes was beaten soundly in the ratings by dancing with the stars.

the problem is people don't want to think about what they are watching anymore.  give me instant entertainment while i sit on my fat ass eating ice cream and ding dongs.  reality shows teh suck.  even the new game shows are useless. they are taking up air waves and should be limited to daytime television.

heroes made tv fresh again.  so did friday night lights but that is no longer on a main-stream network.  at least those two shows brought back some originality unlike the countless csi spin-offs.

house was a quality show but they fucked that one up too.

In all seriousness, how could anyone watch an episode of Dancing with the stars, much less prefer it to something like Heroes?

Refer to Julianne Hough thread.

I watch Heroes over DWS, but there is a shit-ton of fine ass in scantily clad garb that makes DWS easier to watch.  Plus, the female demographic is all over it because anything to do with dancing is must-see-tv.

I recorded it earlier this week to watch tonight.

"Fringe" isn't too bad; reminds me of the X-Files or Millennium.  I'm a little gun-shy when it comes to sci-fi shows after that craptacular ending to the new Battlestar Galactica series though this program isn't too bad so far.
