On top of that stat, the ERAs of those three since July 2nd has been sub 2.00.

Basically, Cards got hot at the right time... Just when the Cubs hit the skids. We all agreed that the first team to go on a 15-5 streak would win the division. I just didn't expect the Cubs to implode like they did.

I have not watched 15 consecutive minutes of Disastros baseball in WEEKS... hell, not even 15 TOTAL minutes in weeks. I check a box score every now and again... But I have not been able to gloat at anyone all season so NYAH! Here's my one chance.

The funniest thing about this season is that I will normally be glued to WGN when the Cubs are on. This year...I have watched maybe 4 complete games. Two of those were nights that I couldn't sleep and they were on the West Coast. I blame myself though, because I drafted Fonzie on my fantasy team.

A strong move by the Dodgers for more power in the lineup (and they already had plenty).

It really seems that the Dodgers and Phillies have unlimited amounts of money to sign marquee players. This is why these two teams are at the top of their respective divisions.

Another heartbreaker last night. Bobby made another mistake by leaving Vasquez in for too long. His pitch count was way high, and it was hot and humid and he was showing all the signs of being exhausted. They made quite the comeback, but then Gonzalez fucked it up (again) in the bottom of the ninth. This team gives me heartburn, but they are still contending. O N E game at a time.
