Anybody going to watch (or go to) tonight's basketball game besides me?  I'll be watching on ESPN2; should be interesting:

Ill be watching on TV too. I hope it is not like the last national televised game I was excited about. I told the wife to leave me alone, got my beer iced down ready for a good game, and by the time I finished my first beer I was miserably pissed and Auburn didn't have a prayer...hopefully it goes better tonight...

Yep, I know just what you mean.  Sometimes it does get frustrating.  Hopefully it will go better for us tonight.

He caught the bug first against WSU.  It got hammered home when we drove over last Winter to watch the turds get torched on the court.  He's a believer.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

That game was as great as watching my Tarheels stomp the Dookies.

...Tarheels stomp the Dookies.

In hindsight that is really a bad metaphor...lets just say whoop their ass instead and send them home crying.

"Thanks for saving our seats" indeed!  Good times!

Considering we only had 7 scholarship players tonight, I thought we played our hearts out.  If we could have shot worth a damn the last 5 minutes we could have won the game.  Oh well, such is the curse that is Auburn Basketball.

The attendance (or lack thereof) was embarrasing.  I understand how it's tough for a lot of alumni to take a road trip down to Auburn on a weeknight, but there are 24k damn college kids in that town.  To only have the BEC 1/2 full on a nationally televised game is pathetic.

Half full? It looked to be a lot less than that on TV. But yeah, I thought Auburn played well. I went in expecting a blow out and they played with a lot of heart and hustle. To be honest, if you would have told me Auburn would have shot as poorly from three land through out the game, I would have told you it would be a 20 point loss. They hung in though and scrapped well. Good job guys!

We have got to either change where the cameras are, or change where the students sit. The cameras are pointing directly at the alumni side, which was half empty, while the student side was completely full well into the upper deck.

And of course the geniuses that run this whole operation have security guards stationed at each aisle not letting anyone into the lower level of the alumni side unless they have tickets.

Sorry that I am late getting back to this thread...been a busy day.

I was really proud of the way our men played last night...in the games that I've seen us play recently both televised and in person that was one of the best and even though we didn't win it was not a game to be ashamed about.  I was really excited about possibly winning this one and with those last two attempts at 3 points I knew our guys were playing their hearts out as they were the entire game.  Damn fine game, good hustling of the ball.

I was not too happy with the poor attendance as some of yall pointed out.  But Auburn's really making a commitment to basketball and I look forward to seeing the program get better and better.

Well, I only made it through 2 beers and a scotch on the rocks.
