I wasn't at the game. This was just at Buffalo Wild Wings on 280...

Ich verstehe.

At any rate, I wasn't impressed with any of the bammers i encountered in Auburn at the Auburn/ turds game in January.

What the hell is with those folk?

I'll readily admit, the refs were awful on both sides of the court tonight. There were several times I just cringed.  Having said that, I'm still blown away they could look so bad and then just flick that switch.  War Damn Eagke.

Get your dancing shoes ready!!!!

The ONLY way Auburn makes the NCAAs is if we win the tournament.  RPI guys this morning said that.

Damn.

Quote
Tigers are worthy of an NCAA bid, regardless of what computers say

By Phillip Marshall, Senior Writer
Posted Mar 4, 2009

I’ve said it for years, and I still believe it. Computers have no place in deciding who gets to play for championships in college athletics.

RPI, as it is called, is a joke. It’s a made-up formula that is not grounded in reality. There are so many variables in college athletics that can’t be quantified in a computer program. Whether its conference commissioners talking about the BCS, men’s or women’s basketball tournament or NCAA baseball tournament selection committees, their consistent claim is that RPI is just one part of the equation.

But talk privately to people who have served on those committees and they’ll tell you that RPI is far and away the biggest factor in determining who goes and who stays home.

I watched Auburn rally from a 13-point deficit in the second half to beat Alabama in the most hostile of environments at Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday night. The computer will say that’s not a good win. The computer doesn’t know.

Auburn is 9-6 in the SEC. It has won seven of its last eight games and has won four SEC road games. Anyone who watches these Tigers play knows they are worthy of an NCAA bid. But the computers say they’re not.

Hogwash.

The worst part about the whole formula is the unreasonable weight given to the weaker teams on a school’s schedule. If you play a team whose RPI is, say, 180, you’re not going to lose. If you play a team whose RPI is 300, you’re not going to lose. So why should one count more than the other? Got me.

Auburn already deserves to be part of the tournament conversation. If it beats regular-season champion LSU at home on Saturday, the issue ought to be settled. But apparently that won’t be the case.

Of course, the Tigers could make it all moot by winning the SEC Tournament in Tampa next week. And the way they’ve played for the last month, they have as good a chance as anyone.

Where? Where?

Sorry.  Mom was an english prof.  "hear hear" is the way to go.  She slammed my hands once for writing it this way, so I thought I should return the favor.

There, there now. Don't get upset about it.

I do think if they knock off LSU this weekend, they should be getting a real serious look from the committee.  I'd also like to point out that just because you play in the Big East does not mean you're sporting a 10" cock.  I'm sick of listening every night to the talking heads break down the Providences and Georgetowns and Notre Dames of the world and talk about how they may only be 2-8 in their last 10 but so and so has that "Quality win" against Pitt or Syracuse.

Oh, and Heel, the Dookies took down another 20+ win team last night.  I'll be watching with interest as the Hokies play for their NCAA llives tonight.  Could be (Won't be) a good one.

I was listening to Tim Brando on Fineschlong yesterday and he was giving FSU over Dook as his guaranteed upset special.  "Sandwich game" he called it.  Not on senior night biotch.

Problem is, it will be senior night at the Bean Dome Saturday too.

Don't question...Just roll with it.  It took me years to figure out what a Tarheel was anyway.  Should we call it the Goat Dome?  It is a goat, isn't it?  An insane sheep?

You've obviously been talking with Sani and GarMan too much.  It's a ram.
