If I Were AU's Coach

Every son of a bitch on the team would have to hit 20 free throws in a row before they were ever allowed to leave the gym after every practice.  It is sickening to shoot less than 50% from the line.

They're hitting less than 50 percent as a team on the season. That's worse than piss poor.

I couldn't agree with you both more.  At the very least you've GOT to hit the free throws!

Sucks.

I'm moving towards the ledge...especially if my Tarheels get beat by fucking UVA tomorrow night.

What I don't unerstand is that most Ball players are most concerned with their own personal stats.  When I played from little league through high school I loved going to the line because they were free points added to my stats.  If you can't make a free throw how are you ever going to move onto the next level.

Seem now a days that they would rather have one or two thunder dunks than go 10 for 10 from the line

I couldn't agree with you more on those statements too.  You've got to learn the fundamentals and get those right first.  Too many players are trying to be the next damn NBA star (I hate NBA roundball by the way).

Pardon my repetition...it's been a long day.

I played basketball, and being a towering 5' - 8" 220 lbs, and built like a fire hydrant with the jumping ability of a safe....   The line was my living shooting the rock.

That was embarrassing to watch tonite.....

$1,000 says I could still shoot at least 70% from the line.  And I'm an old fat mother fucker.

How about this idea.  Once the new arena is built, the team is only allowed to play in it if they are at least 70% from the line as a team.  If they dip below 70% they have to play the games in Beard Eaves.

No excuse in any college team scoring below 50% from the line.

That's like a kicker hitting less than 50% of his extra points.

No kidding, only the kicker would never make it to 50%, because he'd be looking for a new job before then.  Sad....

Apparently Lebo has tried something similar to this and it backfired. He thinks he put so much emphasis on it that it got in their heads.

I don't know what the answer is. But it is pathetic that we can't make at least 60% of our free throws.
