I never heard no complaining  about  JimbO Fishuh, Bobby Petrino or Al Borges.
Who's this Gus feller that Nutt had to run out of town?  He's just a high school coach. We run power here at Running Back U.
This ain't no  place for no rookie with fancy ideas.
That Franklin guy would have made it too if he would have combed his hair and tucked his shirt in.

Why doesn't anybody ever dig out the thread where everybody busted out the torches and pitchforks when Chizik was hired?

I agree. But one thing is for sure. Chizik has fire. He has intensity. It really seems like he wants to come in and win. Tubby had lost that. He is very competitive on the recruiting trail. Tubby had lost that. I have no clue if he is a good game day coach or not. Only time will tell. I think we had one of the best at getting the Auburn team to play excellent for that one game.

With that being said, I don't see anything...RIGHT NOW...that makes me think Auburn didn't hire the right guy. IF Chiz continues to build relationships with HS coaches and continues to hit recruiting hard., and IF Chiz will allow hiw OC to run the offense and not hand cuff him, and IF Chiz hires a good DC that meshes with his style of coaching on the defensive side, I think we may have a good thing.

If not, we have another version, or worse, of Tubby...

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I am a smart mother fucker...

There were so many things dysfunctional about Tubs staff at the end.  I hated it came to that, but it had, and it was time for the change.  Biggest thing in regards to this OC Hire...Chiz let him run his offense.  After that, it was a matter of having enough players to make it go.  Some were left by Tubs, others recruited, or coached by this staff.  Kodi Burns is a classic example of one of Tubs players...but one that was "made"  by this staff.  If he'd have been playing for Tubs, he'd either be under center of a .500 team, or on the bench.  This staff gave him a shot to contribute, and had enough overall chemistry to help him fit in and do it at WR.  We had 4 star WR recruits under Tubs and Co that didn't contribute as much as Burns has at WR.   Hell, Chris Todd is another example of making the most of very little.  A very avg QB, they made him a record setting QB at Auburn.

There's a lot right with this staff...and it's held together by Chiz...anyone that wants to give all the credit to Malzahn is a fool...Malzahn runs the offense...Chiz runs the program.  Both work very well together.
