We NEED this little fella.

It's almost a moral victory that they were able to get him to BCW. Still long shot to land him and if they do , it's icing. Dude comes from a powerhouse.

That's an impressive lineup.  The last time we had names/stars like this was the Chizik/Taylor/Luper years.  Hopefully our staff is drinking coffee on Monday.

You win some, you lose some. It hurts badly but Davis Harsin has committed to the Idaho State bengals. But fear no more fam, as Walker White is a solid backup plan to not landing the gold loin DNA of Byron Haskins.

Riddick announcing this afternoon.  Have seen a couple of "expert" predictions that he's going to commit to the good guys.

Riddick kicks off BCW with a big splash commit.

Who else is pulling the trigger this weekend to ride the momentum?  Trovon says "WE AIN'T DONE YET!!!!"

Walker White handing out pimp chains and diamond pendants to '24 flippers this weekend.

I presume he knows who the four recipients will be...

Perry T, Malcolm Simmons, Deandre Carter, and Reese Baker are my best guesses.

Bolden taking his time?

He set a commitment date of August 5, I think.  Will be here for Big Cat then will take 1 more visit.

Florida State is the team to beat for his services according to rumor.  I hate Florida State right behind UGA and Bama, so I hope we continue to stick it to them like we did with Keldric.

Bolden taking his time?

He should be announcing in about a week and we get the last visit. That would be enormous.

BTDubbz - Deandre Carter's arrow is going up. Thought to be a long shot 2-3 weeks ago, the kid really seems to like Auburn more than most expected. Would also be enormous. I would give the Tigers of Awbren a fighting 50% chance at this point.

Keep an eye on the WR out of Foley - Perry Thompson, and also Malcolm Simmons. I could see them and the Louisville committ (Duke Watson) pulling the trigger soon.

Yella fella needs to keep the bag man fully stocked.

My old ass walked across the Beard Eaves stage in the mid 80's.  One thing that has never stopped since the moment I left, are the massive construction projects.  Virtually everything about the campus, and now the downtown area, have been reshaped and remodeled.  That includes all the athletic facilities. When I walked on in baseball, the stadium consisted of aluminum bleachers and chain link fence.  You could watch a game from the sidewalk.  While I was there, they built the upper decks in JHS.  The renovations have never stopped, and continue today.

Now, I say all that to also say, I don't know how I feel about all that.  It's like it's not the same campus or town; however, they've still had a way of keeping the look of the quintessential college campus, while modernizing everything at the same time.  Especially given the addition of the football only facility, I can really see where recruits would take one visit, and instantly fall in love with the place.

I've toured a few campuses in my day, and have yet to see anything that remotely rivals teh Planez.  Signing with FUGA has to be all about the $$$, because that place is a fucking cesspool, and the stadium is one big bowl of MEH!!!! LSU, daddy like.  Tennessee?  WTF ever.  Ultimately, I believe that now that we seem to be solidly in the NIL game, the Auburn experience should seal the deal for a lot of these guys.

Since I was raised there, met my wife in middle school there (I was in middle school too), and having family that still lives there... It will always be home.  Home just looks a lot different now in certain areas.  Downtown Auburn has lost a lot of its charm & now looks like a Cincinnati lite.  The economic growth can only be good for the place we love, though.  Just a shame it had to be so drastic visually.
