The NY Mets signed Justin Verlander, who has pounded Kate Hudson's Noo Noo on multiple occasions, to a 2-year, $86 million contract. It's good to be Justin.
Meanwhile, The Phillies inked SS, Trae Turner, to an 11-year deal worth over $300 million. I don't know who Trae is banging, but he can scorch all the fine cootchy he wants with that kind of bank.
Me and a buddy were in B-Dubs yesterday, eating wings and downing a pitcher, when we saw that come over the scroll. He was shaking his head asking how in the hell they can sign these players for that kind of money?
Because it's there. These teams aren't taking out loans or mortgaging the farm to work these contracts. The money is there. And with Verlander signing with the Mets, they're about to get a huge spike in Mets apparel sales.
