Tonight, I jizzed. His guests were Van Halen bassist, Michael Anthony, who is pretty much a staple in his Cabo Wabo shows, and Tommy Lee. They went to Lee’s home studio and without rehearsal, played one of my all time top 5 rock songs, Rock Candy.
For you younguns, Hagar fronted the band, Montrose, in the early 70’s. Rock Candy was one of their big hits, and one you had to pop in the 8-track, roll down the windows and crank up the Pioneer Mind Blower speakers to.
