What the fuck!?  I thought that the whole purpose of the damn Bail-out Bill was to relieve the banks of the shitty mortgages?  (sarcasm)

Where's The Obama when we need him?!

He's going to save us all!

Quote
...
There was more pain at mid-morning, when Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said the government's $700 billion financial rescue package won't purchase troubled assets from banks. He said that plan would have taken too much time, and that the Treasury instead will rely on buying stakes in banks and encouraging them to resume more normal lending.

While the market had been pleased by the government's decision weeks ago to buy banks' stock, investors still hoped to see the financial industry relieved of the burden of the mortgage assets whose decline in value helped set off the nation's financial crisis. His comments, which underscored the anxiety that remains about the health of the financial system, sent stocks falling further.

yeah, when i saw that the other day i was fucking livid. first, we're going to pass a bill in which we really don't know how much money will be needed, don't know how to spend it, and have no procedure for determining how it will be spent. but it really needs to be approved otherwise the planet will be thrown into financial chaos. now, its going to require a little too much thought to figure it all out so fuck it, lets just give whoever we want a big cash infusion and hope they do the right thing. lets ignore the fact that some of the banks that have already tanked were given huge infusions maybe two years ago. this further proves my point that this bailout is going to fuck us way worse in the future.
