Voter Registration
« on: November 04, 2008, 05:27:00 PM »
Am I the only one that has a problem with all these "voter registration" organizations?  It seems to me that if you don't have the motivation to register yourself and get your own ass to the polls, do we really want you decideing who is going to run the country?

Am I off base here?

I'd like to offer the "passive protest" defense.

No, you're not off base.

These organizations are as corrupt as the day is long but remember that voter registration and corrupt activities in the name of this cause or regard have been going on for a very, very long time.  Read about voter registration in the Southern States during reconstruction following the War of Northern Aggression or registration of immigrants in NYC (especially the Irish) from 1800 to the 1860's or so...remember Tammany Hall and "Boss" Tweed?

At least the Justice Dept. is currently investigating corrupt organizations like ACORN (with it's connections to The Obama); that's another thing we cannot count on continuing in full measure if he wins the election and the democrats socialists win bigger margins in the Congress.
