You say Bo looks like a senior in high school and then say the O-line is just not there. What is a passing QB supposed to do when an Oline is just not there?
We said the same thing about Stidham when the pressure was too consistent. Looks like an Oline problem more so than qb.

Steele lost two really good DL. I thought we might have some guys ready to step in. I guess not.
But bottom line is Gus needs to go.
Both of those can be true - the OL is badly coached and Bo has not progressed.

In year 8, we shouldn't be in the 3rd straight year of trying to rebuild an offensive line.

Fuck Gus and his faux Patrick Fain Dye outfit.

Auburn, LSU, Fla, Ga, Bama - all get top flight classes year in and year out, Top 10 per all the services....consistently....the difference in Aub and those others? They reload, next man up, they develop kids.

As much as I would love to use the excuse of Derrick and Marlon being gone (we had them a year longer than we should've really), we looked like ass in many games during their 4 years too including their last game. Other than Cam and Nick masking Gus' flaws and making him look good, he has regressed every QB that has stepped on campus. And apparently we don't recruit and develop OL very well either now.

Ga lost a ton of linemen to the NFL and graduation as well. You couldn't tell. They have a friggin 4th string walk on at QB behind a very young, green line. We have a 5 star at the same position. if coaches like PJ Fleck and Gary Patterson outperform with what they have better than anyone the last 2 decades, then Gus Malzahn and Jimbo Fisher do just the opposite in being the 2 that SQUANDER the most talent in D1.

We go through this same drill, this same song and dance on facebook, message boards, etc every damn year. Excuses, justification, analysis - whatever you wanna call it. Trying to wade through the dysfunctional mess of a program we have with this guy. The rollercoaster ride of ugly losses and looking more like Southern Miss some games than the roster full of blue chippers that they really are....But when you have 5-6 teams in the conference that are getting roughly the same caliber of players and 2 of them consistently are woefully underperforming compared to the other 4? Thats a leadership issue. Its systemic. Thats on Gus and Jimbo. Aggie fans should be even more up in arms if were being honest.

Key questions...WHY is the OL that bad? Why do QBs regress? Why has the RB position gone to the shitter? The buck stops with the head man. Kirby is a buttcutted visor wearing chump....but, he replaced an entire OL and trotted a 5'10 walk on QB out there somehow someway. And whipped our damned asses. It's pitiful. What Buzz said is really a microcosm of the Gus tenure - its year 8...and we've been rebuilding that line for almost 4 years now.....thats some of the most retarded skewed logic that I can't even get my head wrapped around....and its who he is. As K has said before - he's in over his head...hes sometimes learning on the job (and most of the time he's not learning at all), and he's every bit the lower level D2/ high school coach we were told he was.

You are dead on correct. We are only one more embarrassing loss this season from the Creed thumpers to get up on the pulpit and talk about how we all need to shut up and support the team.

I turned it off at halftime and went to masturbate....Unlike the offense, it was fast, sexy, and I had something to show for it afterwards.
We have more in common than I realized. I, also, make my own hair gel.

That was a pathetic, inexcusable display of football ineptitude by every unit in a white jersey.

I know this is a bizzaro year: no spring practice, limited fall practice, opt-outs.  But everyone else is dealing with this shit, too.  And better than us, apparently.

I hated the Morriss hire, but I expect more out of a Steele unit.  He is not, despite someone's assertion, overpaid.  The man is good and worth every dime since he's basically the reason we have any wins in the past 4 years or so.  Still, no excuse for the clownfuckery we saw Saturday.

Gus/Morriss are taking our already relatively anemic offense and holding a Breaking Bad-style magnet up to suck all the last vestiges of any iron out of our players.

Shit. Fuck. Asterisk.

Being very serious, I liked the Morris hire. I thought it would be close to gus’ system and he’d leave him alone.

Regardless, I was wrong. Also about sticking up for Gus so long. I like the guy as a man. He’s a high character guy by all accounts. But he is no SEC hc and I’m the last to come to the realization on here, I realize. This is ironic because the rest of you don’t the first thing about college football.

And it’ll keep happening wes because the majority of our fanbase and ptb are content with it. I admire you guys having confidence Friday before the game but you could see this coming a mile away. It’s absolutely a pattern. A very dysfunctional one.

Listen, Betty, don't start up with your white zone shit again.
The white zone is for the immediate loading and unloading of passengers only.  There is no stopping in a red zone.

Walk away.  It's easier than you think and it doesn't hurt at all.

The only thing I would say in Steele's defense is he can't do anything about 320 pound linemen getting obliterated on every play.  He could call all the defensive schemes he wanted, but if they can just ram it down your throat like a porn star, not much you can do.  Maybe recruit better.  Novel idea.  We lost Derrick and Marlon.  They had 5-7 Derrick and Marlons.

It's pretty much all been said, but I'm gonna' add my .02.  This was a team effort.

Kicking: Our 6'5" kicker can nail em' from 60 yards, but he can't get a kickoff to the end zone.

Punting:  What's the attraction to Australian punters who consistently "boom" it 32.6 yards?

Offensive Line: Abused.  I kept complaining about our "best" lineman, Brodalicious Hamm, getting his shit pushed in every way possible.  They finally replaced him.

Defensive Line: Crushed.  Manhandled. Beaten down.

Coaching:  We pretty much all thought Morris would have to be the difference to keep them off balance.  He wasn't.  Every time we put pressure on Bennett, he had a back or tight end right there in the middle of the field to bail him out.  Every single time they put pressure on Nix, he ran for his life.  Not once did he have a go to guy to get him out of trouble.  Another observation....does anyone remember a single running play the entire second half?  I'm not sure we didn't pass every down.  I realize we were down 3 scores, but you have to at least try a few runs to keep them honest.

As for Nix, I give him a pass on this one.  Yes, he's got things to work on.  Kentucky was a prime example of what he can do with a little time and at least some semblance of a running game.  Georgia was a prime example of what every QB in the nation looks like with zero blocking, zero running game and piss poor play calling.

The most disturbing thing was how badly we got manhandled on both sides of the line.  I like to think it all begins and ends with the long snapper.  It does.  But a close second is how you handle yourself in the trenches.  This was a mismatch from the opening bell.  The ref should have stopped it.  You guys alluded to it earlier.  Auburn has recruited like ass in the trenches, both sides, for years. Gus, this is not "We'll look at the film and get better".  This is your team getting that ass physically whipped.  There's no correcting that.

He looked like a Morriss-coached QB from the last couple of years at Arky.  He will regress under this "tutelage."  It will be bad.
