I don't much like Ricky Gervais' religious position. He's a strident atheist and the way he blasts religion in some of his routines makes me extremely uncomfortable.
Tonight, he was the host of the Golden Globes. And he said pretty much what I would had I been the host.
Started with a monologue that bashed them for sucking up to Weinstein and Epstein, told the Hollywood jackasses not to waste the air with their political rants. Said they were morons, basically. Clueless idiots who had no idea what things were like in the real world.
Ended it with "It's over. Go out, get drunk, take your drugs. Fuck off."
Everything in between was painfully self-indulgent nonsense. I actually watched very little of it, but every time I turned it on to see those smug fuckwads patting each other on the back made me sick.
Congrats Ricky for having the courage (or lack of concern) to speak for so many.
