'Squad' declares moon to be symbol of racism
« on: July 17, 2019, 02:28:04 PM »

New York -- As America prepares to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, some now view the event to be symbolic of American greed and colonialism.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, the defacto leader of a group of four newly elected congresswomen who have taken to calling themselves "the squad" challenged the American people to reject any celebration of the moon landing as inherently racist and she called on President Trump to denounce the moon landing's expansionist agenda.

"When we got up to the moon, they jammed a flag into the ground.  That flag represents America, but it also represents a history of slavery, racism and mistreatment of immigrants," Cortez said.  "We cannot condone such an obvious attempt to grab land that does not belong to us.  The moon and all its inhabitants must be free from the tyranny of capitalism. The moon does not belong to America.  It belongs to the world.  Yes, we can see it from New York, but it can also be seen from other countries like Europe and Puerto Rico."

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar added that the makeup of the Apollo crew also reeked of racism. "Where were the Islamic astronauts?"  Omar asked.  "Why were all of the members of the crew white men?  As a woman of color, that is offensive to me.  I cannot embrace a moon landing that was carried out by white men for white men.  It is just another example of the colonial imperialism we have endured since the time of the Crusades.  The man who sits in the White House today is nothing more than a tired version of the same detestable occupiers who destroyed my people during the middle ages.  When the new caliphate assumes power in the Western world, people like Donald Trump and these evil astronauts will be beheaded in the streets like the dogs they are."

Elbowed by compatriot Rashida Talib, Oman amended her statement.  "What I mean to say, is when the great people of this democracy of America elect more people like me, things will change for the better.  Sometimes the English eludes me."

When advised of 'the squad's' comments, President Trump offered to send the delegation on the next trip to the moon so they could see the conditions for themselves.  "I think they should go," he said.  "We'll put a rocket out there right now and strap them in.  I think a lot of people would probably like that."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when asked for comment said she didn't really remember which movie the squad was referring to.  "Was it that one with Tom Hanks?  He's such a good actor and a dear, dear friend.  Or was it that one with Charlton Heston and those other moon people? Either way, President Trump is a racist, he watches Xena and I had Grape Nuts for breakfast."

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

I made that up for fun because I couldn't imagine anyone being that idiotic.  Moments ago, this showed up.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/17/science/women-astronauts-nasa.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes

The Apollo program was designed by men, for men. But NASA can learn from its failures as it aims to send women to the moon and beyond.

If we do not acknowledge the gender bias of the early space program, it becomes difficult to move past it. One of the most compelling things about NASA is its approach to failure. Failure is not penalized in its culture; it is valued for the things that it can teach to save lives or resources in the future. As Bobak Ferdowsi, a systems engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has said, “our best mistakes are the ones we can learn from.”

What are the lessons to be learned from NASA’s failure to fly women during the Apollo era?

Among the horrific issues we MUST address from this article?

Women are typically colder than men.  They have to wear fuzzy socks in space to keep their feet warm because the shuttle is designed to accommodate men.

The tools are designed for men's hands and are sometimes too big for the smaller hands of women to grasp.

The seats are too far back from the controls for women, who are typically shorter, to reach.

The spacesuits are too big.  Can't we have S, M, L, XL options?

The rungs on ladders are too far apart for women.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I guess taking that out of the history books and removing any memorials concerning the moon landing is next on their agenda.

It's over.  It really is.  I was hoping President Trump could flip the script the way Reagan did when we were staring at the abyss in the 80s.  He could.  He could be the most unconventional (apologies to Andy Jackson), successful president in the history of this country.  His brash, non-political manner is exactly the kick in the ass this country needed after years of politicians frozen in place by opinion polls that determined their take on virtually any issue.  Obama was a pansy.  He never said anything that was real or true, he never did anything to promote or strengthen this country.  He was a soft-handed, weak-willed, woman-dominated (perhaps sasquatch-dominated is more like it) cuck. He was also part of a network of communist/socialists that date all the way back to MLK and Rosa Parks.  And do NOT give me any shit about that because the communist associations are proudly displayed on the very walls of the Civil Rights Museum in Montgomery. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Trump would and could have wrecked all that at least temporarily.  He's gotten the American engine moving again. But that's drowned out daily in ridiculous "investigations" by the House.  I thought we sent those assclowns there to legislate, not play Perry Mason.

Problem is? They won't let him be successful.  Started talking about impeaching him before he was even elected.

Just pull the curtain back to see why....

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” — Barack Obama, October 30, 2008

“We are going to have to change our conversation; we’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; we’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation.” — Michelle Obama, May 14, 2008

(Barry waxing poetic at Columbia on Alinskys “Power Analysis” and those evil ones that have the power and money he so desires...)

• Obama first learned Alinsky's rules in the 1980s, when Alinskyite radicals with the Chicago-based Alinsky group Gamaliel Foundation recruited, hired, trained and paid him as a community organizer in South Side Chicago.

• Obama's favorite rule is No. 13: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." You see that in his attacks on "fat cat bankers," "greedy health insurers" and "millionaires and billionaires”.

"Obama learned his lesson well," said David Alinsky, son of the late socialist. "I am proud to see that my father's model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing."

To understand President Obama and Hillary Clinton, one must understand Saul Alinsky. At the top of a short presidential resume in 2008, then-Sen. Barack Obama touted himself a “community organizer,” a construct of Saul Alinsky.

In 1969 Hillary Clinton wrote a fawning senior thesis on Alinsky. In Alinsky’s 1971 book “Rules for Radicals,” in the chapter titled “Tactics,” he divides the electorate into demographic groups (today’s identity politics) and says the organizer must “rub raw the resentments of the people.” This cynical tactic may win elections but serves as a poison pill for our national cohesion.

They definitely venture into a weird form of the same identity politics used above. Which is why it’s all relevant. K’s post really centers around our demise at the hand of these politics.

Not just the politicians, though.  Somehow the media is complicit.  Here's an example from today.

USA Today lauds the "thunderous ovation" that Muslim got when she went to Minnesota.  If you just read the headline, you'd think thousands turned out to cheer her.  The photo that accompanies the piece shows her braying belligerently into a megaphone with people crowded around her.

Most people see that and think "wow, she's got so much support."

You have to read further into the article to see that the "massive crowd" turned out to be "nearly a hundred" and if you look at the photo closely about a third of that is camera, microphone and security people.

Meanwhile this same "news" organization focuses on "empty seats" at Trump rallies that draw SRO crowds and thousands of attendees.

It's not news any longer.  It's sheep herding.

Speaking of, anybody seen Prowler?
