Bruce Pearl’s program has just landed its first commitment for the 2020 recruiting cycle.
The latest good news for the Tigers comes from Justin Powell, the No. 1 prospect from the state of Kentucky in 2020. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard announced his commitment publicly on Friday. Powell picked the Tigers over scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Xavier and Ohio State.
247Sports Composite Rankings list Powell as the nation’s No. 51 shooting guard prospect in the country and a three-star prospect.

I'm not bemoaning the commit, I trust Bruce and co, just surprised and confused about the ranking system.
