Going with the theory that marcellos new deal article is gospel I’m not sure anyone expected gus to accept the conditions. Now it essentially handcuffs him and makes him easier to fire. His own dumbass hubris is probably what accepted it as bgreene said. The dude thinks he can legit turn it around. But he can’t we all know that.

Now he’s boxed himself into a very very toxic situation. He blinked. Leaving auburn open to coach shop more aggressively. Especially when dec 5th rolls around. I fully believe Moon’s theory that the deal we all read about yesterday is not the end game here. Rane and Harbert didn’t get filthy rich by being wrong most of the time. My first thought too when reading it was this sounds too stupid to be true. Well maybe it is.

I get what you’re laying down homie - and we no it’s not a ball sack - but it’s bewildering. Only thing that makes sense is hubris. Pride. No way in hell Sexton would have agreed to those terms unless the end game would be a win win. You have to think something is bigger at play here. Stay tuned it could get even darker and juicier. The way snags likes his men.

Not just saying this with wishful war eagle goggles but it would be a good fit for him. And a win win for every party involved. I know leach wants out of WSU but not sure how well the air raid would be accepted in Atlanta with all of those option players. It would be downright ugly for 2-3 years.

I've heard rumblings that Gus' people are telling him to get out now before he ruins his brand forever. But like many have said, he is too full of himself to listen.

And Leach at GT would not take long to fix. One good passing QB and you still have a LOT of skill players to throw to. Use a zone blocking scheme with your smaller more mobile line and you could hold off the bears for a couple of seasons till you get new players in.
