In other B-Ball news, 4 traditional titans squared off/are squaring off to get the party started. Michigan State vs. Kansas. Duke vs. Kentucky. Final 4 type shit to open the festivities. #1 Kansas held off a late charge by Izzo's bunch to take the W. KU is athletic and solid as usual. Their strength is a man-child named something like Udoza Adubuike. 7'0" 270 with skillz on both ends of the floor. If he stays healthy, they'll be a contender again.
Meatchicken State is their usual self. No McDonald's All-Americans. No one-and-dones. Just highly rated, solid players, who stick around for 3-4 years. Not on the level of Kansas right now, but Izzo will have them gellin' like a felon by season's end.
First half over between Duke and UK with my Dookies holding a 17 point lead. They played great, UK, not so much. Both teams are off the charts in the talent department. I won't see the end because my ass is headed to bed. But, I'm satisfied that my Blue Devils are loaded for bear again this year. They may lose tonight. UK is talented enough to make a run and come back. But, I won't sweat it if they do.
