Rodney Scott is now much more firm to us than before.  Here's a comment from him on the firing:

"I feel pretty good about (my commitment) now because now I think we’ll get back to the old Auburn, running downhill and everything, like it was with Cadillac Williams."

Yeah, this MAY affect some WR commits, but I can't think of any at the moment that I'll shed a tear for.

I think Franklin was mostly brought in to help recruiting, and we had a very mediocre to not-so-fantastic recruiting year last year in spite of that.

I think that combined with the Vanderbilt loss was what prompted Tommy to cut his losses.

And something obviously happened between Tuesday and Wednesday, otherwise he would have been fired Sunday night.  Either it was the assistants or the players or both.  I think someone was pretty spot on before who said he thinks that Franklin probably put his foot down and said this is the way we are running things this week.  Tubs doesn't take kindly to that.

I think someone got their ass kicked.  But of course, that's just speculation on my part.

The current class of verbals has some bad ass boy dogs in it.  But, like Chad said, there's a couple of 5'10" receivers I wouldn't have a problem steering away from.  I DO want this LaDarius Perkins kid on campus.  That's a bad mo fo.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."
