Ivanka Trump's clothing and accessory line saw record sales in February, weeks after Nordstrom dropped the first daughter's wares amid lagging returns and a presidential social media war ensued against the brand.
And, at least according to some analysts, a "free commercial" offered by White House adviser Kellyanne Conway may have helped bolster that surge.
As she addressed President Trump's tweets calling out the retailer for dropping Ivanka Trump products during an appearance on "Fox & Friends," Conway urged viewers to "go buy Ivanka's stuff."
It appears folks did just that.
Online fashion store Lyst, one of the largest in the world, reported skyrocketing sales of Ivanka Trump products on Feb. 9 -- the same day Conway told Fox viewers she "hates shopping," but that she would "get some, myself, today."
Although its choice to drop Ivanka Trump items didn't hurt Nordstrom's bottom line -- the retailer's stock increased 4 percent the day it announced its decision -- the news may have pushed supporters of the president and first daughter to seek her wares online.
Even the controversy over Conway's reported ethical breach of conduct didn't deter shoppers.
Zappos saw sales increases of 18.4 percent over the previous year for January and February 2017, according to CNBC. Sales at Amazon were up more than 300 percent.
According to Lyst, the Ivanka Trump brand jumped from 550th place on its list of top sellers to 11th from January to February.
Ivanka Trump stepped down from her role in managing the eponymous company after her father was elected president.

It wasn't Conway's "free commercial" that boosted sales. It was a national backlash against the whining, bitching and foot-stomping crybabies who attacked our president with their shitty, petty tactics. That's the real story. People found out just how petulant the mewling fucks were being and bought shit just to spite them. Period.
It's worth noting that while the article mentions the "bump" Nordstrom's got the day after dropping Ivanka's clothing line, the retailer is still down nearly 10% for the year. And still declining.
