No one put any name in front of anything. That's what the nazi party was. National socialism under hitler was not socialism at all in the communist sense. Hitler hated communism and he hated the Russians. He wrote as much in mein kempf. It spawned out of the German workers party. The national part is very key. The nazi party (national socialist) was an attempt to redefine socialism under the guise of populism and nationalism. The nature and climate in which the country is ran is totally different. And for different reasons. National socialists were not socialists at all. It was simply a guise to broaden appeal to the public to join their authoritarian, nationalist movement or "cause" which placed a lot of emphasis on a homogenous and dominate German race of people. That's pretty much what fascism was, differing slightly from the form of it in Italy and for different reasons.

Socialists are not the only political class that favor or implement govt programs - authoritarian nationalists do as well.

Sorry, it's history and you guys don't get to rewrite it. To do so you are creating a revisionist version of it going against what hitler himself espoused and pretty much every historical scholar.

In the end, both are bad.
