A rant on Voter Apathy
« on: November 08, 2007, 01:38:55 PM »
We had an election here in Kennesaw, Georgia this past Tuesday but you could not tell it by the number of voters who showed up at the polls.  Now I realize that it was ONLY for mayor and two At Large Town Council posts but what the fuck?  Where the fuck was everybody?  In the history of this great nation patriotic men have fought and died for the right and priviledge to vote!  Kennesaw has a population of somewhere around 25,000 folk eligible to vote (notwithstanding the local Democrats desire to let illegal aliens with any fucking form of ID vote...up to and including "his word that he really lives here and is a citizen") and out of that relatively small population less than 1,800 people voted.  That is a damn shame!  Even in the most recent presidential election we only had a turnout of about 50 percent of eligible voters which is still fucking pathetic! As a friend of mine pointed out recently I am just a fucking white man who loves what used to be his country enough to get my arse to the polls and vote.  And even take the fucking time to read up on who was running and what they stand for and against.  Voting is a fucking important right and priviledge in this nation (of course I believe that only tax PAYERS should vote but what the fuck do I know!).

So let it be written...so let it be done.

So ends today's rant...

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

You got too many mexicans down there. move on up here to Woodstock, but leave the mexicants down there. We have great voter turnout here. And they check your ID. Besides, Prattville would kick N. Cobb's ass.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
