4 ounces of Cannabis? Ummm, yeah, that's a pretty harsh penalty if it had been a student...possible felony possession with intent to sale.

They'd been tipped off about a drug transaction and were following him, this isn't his first time apparently and I'm just taking a wild guess here, but there are others involved. If that's the case, it would possibly get bumped up to a Class C Felony and would land him in prison for 1-10 years...if he was a regular student. Of course he isn't a regular student, so that brings me to my next question. Isn't preferable treatment for student-athletes against NCAA rules? What ever happened to Jimmy Johns, aside from starting a fast sub sandwich place? Same situation here, except that Johns was caught dealing Cocaine and it wasn't his first time dealing it either.

Yeah I'm confused on this one too.  Marshall got some shit for not being arrested after having a small amount of weed in his car.  This guy is fucking peddling drugs from some cartel, and it's no harm, no foul?

From first hand experience. If you get caught like this you're arrested to protect you if you're rolling over. If you are not then everyone and I mean everyone knows you are. Something is rotten here. Then again we know this.
